While maintaining a global reach the Petersen Automotive Museum continuously studies the crucial role that Los Angeles and California as a whole has played in the development of the automobile and its establishment as a cultural artifact; to ensure that the Petersen continues to become the center for automotive thought by presenting mobility’s past, present, and future.
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized HR Coordinator to contribute to our team’s success and help maintain a seamless and compliant employee experience.
What We Are Looking For:
- In-depth HR knowledge: A solid understanding of HR best practices, policies, and legal compliance requirements (including FMLA, ADA, EEOC, etc.).
- Organizational expertise: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Tech proficiency: A high level of comfort with HRIS platforms, digital media, and technology solutions to streamline HR processes.
- Proactive mindset: A self-starter who takes initiative to drive projects and process improvements that support the company’s goals and enhance the employee experience.
- Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on HR experience, ideally within a compliance-driven environment, and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace.
What You Will Do:
- Support HR operations: Assist in benefits administration, policy enforcement, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle: From recruitment to onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance at every stage.
- Act as a liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, providing expert HR support while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- HRIS Management: Assist employees with Rippling system navigation, ensuring accurate record-keeping and seamless integration of employee data.
- Engage employees: Manage content for our dashboard and TV screens to keep employees informed and engaged with company news and initiatives.
- Event coordination: Organize internal events (e.g., Ice Cream Fridays) that foster team engagement and align with our organizational values.
- Support HR programs: Help implement programs that align with company goals, driving a culture of continuous improvement, development, and compliance.
