About the role


Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in executing digital marketing, business development, and communications initiatives for the museum. This position works cross-functionally, collaborating closely with multiple departments to support cohesive and impactful campaigns that advance the museum’s mission and visibility.


What you'll do

  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to support and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns for the museum.
  • Assist in the planning, promotion, and on-site coordination of museum-hosted and sponsored events, such as exhibit openings, cruise-ins, education programing, panels, and more.
  • Support the development and production of marketing materials and logistics for events and activations.
  • Assist in managing the execution of production schedules for marketing campaigns, encompassing paid and in-kind advertising, events, exhibits, website updates, and partnership deliverables.
  • Maintain and update content across the Petersen Museum website, including event pages, landing pages, exhibit descriptions, vehicle spotlights, and more.
  • Coordinate and deploy bi-monthly newsletters and spotlight emails with support from the design team.
  • Conduct A/B testing for subject lines and content layouts in email marketing.
  • Monitor open rates, click-throughs, and engagement to suggest improvements for future campaigns.
  • Assist in the organization and execution of monthly museum events, including guest check-in, guided tours, photography, hospitality, and coordination of event logistics.
  • Prepare and deliver weekly reports to the Digital Marketing Manager on website/email performance and advertising analytics.
  • Support SEO initiatives, including metadata updates, keyword tagging, and blog content optimization.
  • Monitor website performance metrics (bounce rate, time on site, etc.) to help inform improvements.
  • Work closely with the design team to facilitate the timely production of marketing and sponsorship materials.
  • Submit and track design requests as needed.
  • Assist in the distribution of marketing materials, email campaigns, press releases, event collateral, and partner updates.
  • Help ensure seamless communication of marketing initiatives across all internal departments.
  • Provide excellent client service to museum partners and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in project management tools and shared drives (e.g., Trello, Google Drive).
  • Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned by the Digital Marketing Manager or Marketing Director.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Familiarity with or interest in the automotive industry is required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.


Education and Experience:


Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: 

  • Associate degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Design or related field 

Minimum Experience required:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Marketing or Social media position


Software Experience:

  • Experience in Mailchimp or email clients is required
  • Squarespace/Shopify experience 
  • Office/Google Suite 
  • Adobe creative suite is a plus

The pay range for this role is:

27 - 27 USD per hour (Petersen Automotive Museum)
