Position Summary
As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Frontend-Leaning) at PGLS, you’ll be a key member of a growing engineering team helping modernize the Interpretation and Translation industry. You’ll lead the charge on building clean, performant, and polished frontend experiences while maintaining comfort navigating backend systems when needed. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a product-driven environment, has a strong eye for UI/UX, and is excited to own features across the stack — with a particular passion for crafting beautiful, accessible, and high-impact web interfaces.
Job Responsibilities
- Build and maintain highly responsive, user-focused web applications using ReactJS, TypeScript, and Next.js.
- Design, implement, and document reusable UI components using design systems such as ShadcnUI, TailwindCSS, and custom styled components.
- Lead end-to-end feature development: from scoping and architecture to deployment and iteration.
- Own the integration between frontend and backend systems, ensuring smooth communication with NestJS APIs and third-party SDKs.
- Participate in designing scalable backend services, including APIs and database models (PostgreSQL).
- Debug and resolve issues across the full stack, with a focus on frontend performance and UX excellence.
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to ensure exceptional user experiences.
- Contribute to and evolve our design system, helping drive consistency and scalability.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive engineering culture.
- Continuously improve development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in modern full-stack development with a strong emphasis on frontend work.
- Proven ability to design and implement polished, accessible UIs with attention to detail and responsiveness.
- Deep experience with ReactJS, TypeScript, Next.js, and design systems like ShadcnUI or TailwindCSS.
- Solid understanding of frontend architecture, component reusability, and UI state management.
- Comfortable working across the stack, especially with Node.js, NestJS, and PostgreSQL.
- Strong sense of product ownership — you care about what you build and the people you build it for.
- Familiarity with modern DevOps practices, CI/CD workflows, and cloud platforms like Azure.
- Experience in agile SaaS environments with the ability to thrive in startup-like settings.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
