Position Summary
The Peer Review Coordinator serves as the primary administrative support for the AICPA Peer Review Program at PICPA, ensuring compliance with national standards and delivering exceptional service to member firms, reviewers, and committee stakeholders. This role manages critical workflows within PRIMA, facilitates peer review scheduling and documentation, coordinates committee activities, and maintains accurate billing and communication processes. With a strong attention to detail and a commitment to professional excellence, the Coordinator plays a key role in upholding the integrity and effectiveness of the peer review process.

Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for completing the administrative aspects of the AICPA Peer Review Program in accordance with the AICPA requirements, including:
- Benchmark compliance on all administrative cases in PRIMA.
- Monitoring and implementing administrative changes communicated by the AICPA.
- Providing administrative support to firms and reviewers for input of data and materials into PRIMA (e.g., firm creation, enrollment, peer review information, scheduling information, firm extension requests, and workpaper submission) and consistently monitoring and addressing all other administrative cases in PRIMA.
- Performing timely follow-up on late peer review submissions and scheduling cases, and initiating the appropriate actions in PRIMA (e.g., reviewer restriction, firm noncooperation, etc.).
- Creating peer review files, file breakdown, administrative review of workpapers.
- Monitor and follow up with firms to address hearing cases in PRIMA. Assist in the creation of hearing packages for review by the PICPA Peer Review Committee or RAB. Submit approved hearing case packages to the AICPA for hearing panel review.
- Peer Review Committee
- Assisting with administrative aspects of the peer review committee including periodically monitoring qualifications and peer reviewer resume updates triennially, coordinating the annual RAB and peer review committee schedule and obtaining confidentiality agreements.
- Coordinating the RAB review and acceptance of extension requests and year end changes.
- Coordinating pre-RAB and post-RAB activities, communicating committee decisions, and coordinating peer review oversights.
- Assisting in documenting compliance with AICPA confidentiality requirements for administrators and for the NY Peer Review Oversight Committee.
- Monitor and timely addressing requests left in the peer review email inbox.
- Tracking and billing surcharges, monitoring and follow up on outstanding fees (including phone calls and emails) and answering billing calls.
- Assisting the Peer Review Administration Manager with administrative tasks and projects (e.g., billing reconciliation, peer reviewer directory, hearing packages, etc.).
- Work with and provide administrative support for the Peer Review Administration Manager and Professional & Technical Standards Team to facilitate the implementation of strategic goals.
- Assist in providing administrative support to other state society as needed.
Education Requirements
- Four-year college degree: business, adminsitrative, no specific major
- Required Skills
- At least 5 years of administrative or related experience.
- Organizational, interpersonal, communication abilities (including strong written and verbal communication) and solid team participation/client service skills.
- Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Able to successfully adapt to changing priorties.
- Proficiency with MS Office Software (specifically Outlook, Work, and Excel).
- Must learn administrative requirements of the AICPA Peer Review Program and related proprietary program management system, (e.g., PRIMA and Sharepoint). Also, responsible for learning PICPA member service system, Aptify.
