About the role


 ****Government Security Clearance Information****

Employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining an active security clearance. Non-U.S. citizens are ineligible. The adjudication process evaluates overall reliability and trustworthiness, including adherence to federal laws prohibiting marijuana use (recreational, medical, or CBD).


Position Type: Fulltime, salaried with benefits

Salary Range: $60,000 – $85,000

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday

Travel: Less than 10%

Location: San Diego, CA (onsite)



Position Overview


We are seeking an IT / Administration Support Specialist (ACTR) to provide operational technology support for approximately 100 personnel. This role manages the full lifecycle of IT support, including hardware and software procurement, inventory tracking, provisioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ad hoc help desk support. The position also includes responsibility for mobile device management (MDM), ensuring devices are properly configured, secured, and deployed.

Familiarity with the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) and Department of Defense (DoD) / U.S. Navy (USN) security protocols is highly desirable. Experience with Navy Flank Speed account creation, SharePoint administration, and other DoD systems is a plus.

This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys problem-solving, identifying process improvements, and developing efficient or automated solutions. Strong technical aptitude and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset are essential.

The specialist will directly support the Director of Operations and collaborate closely with the Operations Support team to meet IT and general administrative needs. Proficiency in the Microsoft ecosystem is required, including Active Directory, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.

Key Focus Areas

  • Deliver comprehensive, lifecycle IT support for program personnel
  • Maintain accountability and audit readiness for all IT hardware and software assets
  • Ensure reliable and compliant operation within NMCI/DoD environments
  • Support and optimize Microsoft 365 tools for collaboration and productivity
  • Provide responsive, high-quality end-user support in a fast-paced environment



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide cradle-to-grave IT administrative support for ~100 users, including hardware/software setup, provisioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and disposal
  • Perform NMCI peripheral support and troubleshooting
  • Support Mobile Device Management (MDM) for DoD client devices, including configuration and deployment
  • Administer Microsoft ecosystem tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), including account provisioning, license management, distribution lists, Teams channels, and site/content management
  • Manage supply ordering, organization, distribution, and auditing of IT peripherals
  • Maintain accurate inventory tracking of all program hardware and software assets

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred, not required)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional IT administrative experience
  • Experience with Microsoft ecosystem administration, including role-based access
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Understanding of basic computer hardware specifications
  • Experience as an ACTR or NMCI Help Desk specialist (preferred)
  • Experience with workflow automation tools (Power Platform, Power Automate, Power BI) is a plus
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and manage workload efficiently
