The Role

Athos Commerce has built strong, strategic relationships with a global network of partners across diverse regions and partnership models. As Head of Partnerships, EMEA, you will develop and execute a comprehensive regional strategy aligned with Athos Commerce's global strategy, one that delivers measurable value to our partners and their customers across a wide range of retail verticals. You are the bridge between EMEA partners and our global teams.

This role reports to the CEO. You'll manage one direct report today, with the shape of the regional team evolving as the EMEA business scales — expect a genuine mix of strategic leadership and hands-on execution in the early going.

Strong leadership here is essential to our go-to-market strategy: you'll help drive growth for Athos Commerce's product portfolio and expand our presence within a robust ecosystem of ecommerce agencies, system integrators, platforms, and technology vendors. This is a highly cross-functional role, working closely with strategy, product, sales, marketing, finance, and legal, and alongside key executives including the GM, SVP of Global Partnerships, CTO, VP of Sales, and VP of Customer Success.

How You Will Succeed

  • Build and manage relationships with active and prospective partners, driving measurable pipeline against mutually agreed monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Recruit new agency, system integrator, platform, and technology vendor partners against Athos Commerce's global partner criteria.
  • Generate qualified sales opportunities through partner awareness sessions, co-marketing initiatives, and in-person events; deliver ongoing product training and enablement for partners.
  • Act as the day-to-day liaison between partners and the Sales and Customer Success teams.
  • Build regional partner assets — case studies, white papers, best practices, web content, articles — that feed into the global partner playbook, in collaboration with marketing.
  • Own strategic planning and execution of the EMEA partnerships plan, from identifying key partners through implementation, and align regional opportunities and partner investment decisions with global product and go-to-market priorities.
  • Build the strategic partnership pipeline and conduct partner analysis in collaboration with executive leadership and industry vertical teams.
  • Define and track operating metrics with Finance, Sales, Analytics, and Marketing to measure and improve business performance.
  • Represent Athos Commerce's partnerships strategy externally at industry events and through strategic communications; monitor the competitive landscape, industry trends, and market dynamics to inform strategy.
  • Communicate Athos Commerce's global vision, value proposition, product roadmap, and go-to-market strategy across the EMEA partner network.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in partner management, specifically focused on ecommerce agencies, system integrators, ecommerce platforms, and technology vendors.
  • Excellent contacts within mid-market to mid-enterprise European ecommerce agencies.
  • Experience evaluating market forecasts and long-term trends, market dynamics, market share changes, and product line performance; collecting competitive intelligence; driving cross-functional business processes; identifying strategic risks; and business model innovation.
  • A strategic leader with a track record of writing and delivering a partnership strategy against both short- and long-term goals.
  • Proven success and accountability in achieving revenue goals and strong quota attainment.
  • A demonstrable track record of building and scaling a regional partner ecosystem while contributing to global strategy.
  • Experience influencing and aligning organizational and vertical business strategies with corporate-level plans.
  • Excellent product and partnership knowledge; tech/product savvy enough to recognize what good implementations and product experiences look like.
  • Excellent listening and people skills; self-initiated, proactive, and able to navigate and influence challenging situations.
  • Ability to create and communicate strategy through compelling narratives and customer stories to varied audiences — customers, partners, third-party developers, the investor community, the board, and internal employees.
  • Experience applying a data-driven approach to monitoring the performance and progress of business initiatives.
  • A history of managing budgets and targets, including forecasting and variance tracking.
  • Ability to move between long-term strategic thinking and high-priority escalations while maintaining an objective viewpoint.
  • Experience collaborating across all levels of the organization, with customers, and with external partners and third-party developers, with a professional demeanor and diplomacy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Proven experience aligning regional strategies with overarching global corporate objectives.
