Role Overview  

 

An ADAP Enrollment Worker is responsible for helping individuals qualify for and enroll in the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP). The ADAP Enrollment Worker is responsible for meeting with new and established ADAP enrollees to explain ADAP program benefits and requirements, assisting clients and or staff with the submission of complete and accurate ADAP applications via the most efficient method available. ADAP Enrollment Workers will ensure all annual Re-Certifications and semi-annual Attestations are completed and submitted in a timely manner to prevent lapse in ADAP eligibility and loss of benefits.  

 

Areas of Accountability 

 

This position is directly accountable for the following key areas: 

  • Develop and maintain a process to track the status of all pending applications and promptly follow-up with applicants regarding missing documentation or other needed information to ensure completed applications are submitted as quickly as feasible. 
  •  Maintain communication with designated THMP staff to quickly resolve any missing or questioned application information or documentation to ensure any issues affecting pending applications are resolved. 
  • Complete comprehensive THMP intake to determine client eligibility, third party payer information, identify potential abuse for the ADAP program in accordance with the THMP eligibility policies.   
  •  Conduct and submit the 6-month attestations and annual re-certifications for all enrolled clients in accordance with THMP policies.  
  •  Communicate ADAP enrollment issues and approvals to pharmacy and place ADAP orders to THMP.   

Education, Licensure/Certification: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience in performing intake/eligibility, referral/linkage and/or basic assessments of client needs preferred.  
  • Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician license 
  • PTCB Certification

Continuing Education and Training Requirements: 

 

  • Participate in training courses required by the agency, funding source(s), and/or as required by licensure if applicable.
