The Opportunity

Job Title - Sediment Remediation / Fate & Transport Lead

Full-Time | Global Engineering Environment | Senior-Level Career Opportunity

We have an exciting new opportunity for someone to provide senior-level leadership for Baird’s Sediment Remediation practice, which is recognized for technical excellence, strong client service, long-term client relationships, and active project work. Lead complex sediment remediation studies in aquatic environments, including CERCLA RI/FS and remedial design projects.

What You Will Do

• Client and Practice Growth: Develop and expand Baird’s sediment remediation services in partnership with the Remediation Services Lead by identifying new client opportunities, strengthening existing client relationships, and maintaining a high standard of client service.
• Business Development Strategy: Work with Baird’s senior leadership team to develop and implement nationwide business development strategies for sediment remediation projects.
• Partner Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with partner firms to support project delivery, business development, and long-term practice growth.
• Project Leadership: Manage multidisciplinary project teams engaged in sediment remediation design, related technical studies, and litigation support assignments.
• Litigation Support: Provide Expert Witness and Expert Consultant services on litigation support projects, including clear technical communication and defensible expert analysis.
  
  

What You Will Bring

• Experience serving as an Expert Witness or Expert Consultant on litigation support projects
• Demonstrated technical leadership in sediment and contaminant fate and transport
• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
• 10+ years of experience with progressive growth in responsibility
• Engineering or environmental consulting experience with proven client management skills
• Proven experience leading large sediment remediation studies, including CERCLA RI/FS and remedial design projects
• Describe the experience and attributes of the ideal candidate
• Have a valid U.S. Passport, able and willing to travel internationally

Other Desired Qualifications

• An analytical science or engineering background
• Advanced knowledge of statistical methods
• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline
• Experience developing and applying numerical models for hydrodynamics, sediment transport, and contaminant fate and transport
• Experience designing and implementing remediation projects, especially dredging and passive or active cap measures
• Experience in litigation support, including working with internal and external agencies' counsel and PRPs
• Background in particle fate and transport, along with numerical modeling of river, estuarine, and coastal systems
