We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our team. This role will support a wide range of human resources functions, including employee relations, onboarding, compliance, benefits administration, payroll, recruitment and policy implementation. Strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential.

Position Summary

HR Generalist is responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, HR operations, payroll, compliance, and employee relations. This role ensures smooth day-to-day HR functions while supporting managers and employees across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, screening, and interview coordination
  • Partner with hiring managers to define roles and hiring needs
  • Manage candidate communication and selection process
  • Oversee onboarding, including offer letters, background checks, and new hire setup
  • Ensure a smooth and positive new hire experience

Payroll & HR Operations

  • Process weekly payroll and ensure accuracy across multi-state operations
  • Review and approve timecards, commissions, and adjustments
  • Maintain HR systems and employee data (Rippling, ServiceTitan, etc.)
  • Support audits, reporting, and year-end processes

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation
  • Manage required trainings, postings, and policy updates
  • Handle employment verifications, unemployment claims, and related requests

Benefits Administration

  • Administer employee benefits including medical, dental, and 401k
  • Manage open enrollment and employee communications
  • Coordinate with brokers and vendors

Employee Relations & Performance

  • Serve as a trusted resource for employee questions and concerns
  • Support conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions
  • Assist with performance reviews, goal setting, and improvement plans
  • Coach managers on employee management best practices

Safety & Workers Compensation

  • Support safety programs and compliance initiatives
  • Manage workplace injury reporting and return-to-work processes
  • Maintain OSHA documentation and safety records

Offboarding & Employee Transitions

  • Manage employee separations and exit processes
  • Process final pay and benefits transitions
  • Ensure return of company property and system access removal

General Support

  • Coordinate employee devices, system access, and IT support needs
  • Assist with HR projects, process improvements, and system implementations
  • Maintain HR calendars, deadlines, and key milestones

Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of HR experience (generalist or similar role)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll, compliance, and HR best practices
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Rippling or similar preferred)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality

Physical Demands

Sitting for long periods of time, lifting up to 25lbs, working in an office environment.
