About the role

Our Nurses deliver specialised, high quality nursing care to clients in our residential home based in Bayswater. You will enjoy working within a supportive, respectful environment where your expertise and empathy are valued and rewarded.

We are looking for experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our new home based in Bayswater. Our client requires 24 hour care so we are looking for several Nurses to join the team.

You will work alongside two support workers at all times. 

• Providing excellent, client-focused care in relation to specialised nursing needs, such as onsite cannulation for IV medication delivery, management of seizures, wounds, infections, pain and other routine medications
• Maintaining documentation; completing resident assessments, incident investigation and related care documents
• Overseeing the administration of day-to-day tasks as relates to the provision of clinical care to achieve best client outcomes and undertaking clinical monitoring and escalating changes as required
• Spend time with the client to connect, share stories and show empathy
• Provide guidance and support to the care team, including Support Workers and greater Allied Health team

About you

• Experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) and registration with AHPRA as a Division 1 Nurse
• Cannulation experience is a must
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance ID or the ability to obtain
• Good judgement and decision-making skills; able to respond quickly to issues and effectively resolve
• The ability to show empathy and treat others with dignity and respect, and a collaborative approach to working with clients, staff, colleagues and other key stakeholders
• An understanding of the disability framework and requirements, including safe medication administration
• A high level of accountability for your own work
• A friendly and positive attitude with the ability to demonstrate client-focused behaviour
