Position Summary
The Credentialing Specialist is a highly organized, detail-oriented professional responsible for coordinating and maintaining the credentialing, privileging, licensing, and regulatory compliance requirements of radiologists and other physicians practicing across multiple states and healthcare organizations.
The position serves as the central administrative resource for radiologists and organizational leadership, ensuring provider credentials remain accurate, current, complete, and readily available to support uninterrupted clinical operations.
In addition to credentialing responsibilities, this position provides highly confidential support and assists with designated finance and accounting functions.
Due to the nature of this position, the employee will routinely have access to highly sensitive and confidential information, including physician information, compensation, financial data, banking information, personnel matters, contracts, strategic business information, executive communications, legal matters, and other proprietary organizational information. An exceptional level of confidentiality, discretion, judgment, professionalism, and trustworthiness is an essential requirement of this position.
The successful individual must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong follow-through, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Because credentialing, licensing, and privileging requirements vary by state, facility, and organization, this position must be comfortable researching requirements, communicating with external agencies, maintaining detailed tracking systems, and escalating potential compliance or operational issues before they affect a provider's ability to practice.
