We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain practical experience in electrical design, engineering processes, project delivery, and manufacturing support within a fast-paced engineering environment.


The successful candidate will work closely with experienced engineers, assisting with electrical designs, documentation, testing, and project coordination while developing valuable industry knowledge and technical skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of electrical designs, drawings, and schematics.
  • Support engineers in the development of low-voltage electrical systems and control systems.
  • Produce and update technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and calculations.
  • Assist with cable schedules, load schedules, and bill of materials preparation.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Participate in design reviews and engineering meetings.
  • Ensure engineering documentation is maintained in line with company standards.
  • Assist with compliance checks against relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, manufacturing, procurement, and project management personnel.
  • Carry out research and analysis to support engineering projects.
  • Adhere to all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Essential Qualifications

  • Currently studying, or recently graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in electrical power systems, electrical design, or industrial engineering.
  • Basic understanding of electrical theory and engineering principles.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Revit MEP, or similar design software.
  • Knowledge of electrical standards and regulations.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, control systems, or power distribution systems.
  • Previous project work, academic projects, or internship experience within an engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of 3D modelling software would be advantageous.
