As Digital Communications Manager at CTCL, you will manage our digital communications program, designing and executing campaigns that bring our mission to life online. Across email, texting, web, social media, and digital ads, you’ll grow and engage our audiences with thoughtful, impactful content that elevates CTCL’s work and spotlights the dedicated election officials who make democracy happen. You’ll report to the Associate Director of Communications. 

Responsibilities

• Execute digital engagement strategy – Develop and manage CTCL’s digital tactics, including content planning and segmentation, and performance optimization. Translate organizational messaging and narrative strategy into audience-specific digital campaigns and lead audience growth efforts through testing and paid digital campaigns.

• Manage digital platforms and content – Own the website content planning and publishing, keeping updates timely, accessible, and aligned with narrative and programmatic goals. Grow CTCL’s social media presence, and maintain systems and workflows that keep digital content running.
• Build and maintain audience infrastructure – Work across departments to build and maintain audience lists, track engagement, and establish foundational processes across our CRM, email, and CMS platforms. Ensure compliance with relevant digital communications laws and best practices. 
• Optimize digital performance – Track and analyze performance metrics across email, web, text, and social to inform strategy and improve engagement with election offices.
• Engage diverse stakeholders – Work across teams and with contractors to keep digital communications consistent, high-quality, audience-centered, reflecting CTCL’s values and commitment to equity and accessibility.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in all of the following must-have areas:

• Digital Strategy and Execution – You have experience managing digital communications across email, social media, and web content, and you use metrics to refine your approach. You know your way around email marketing platforms and a CRM, including data hygiene and segmentation. You treat consent and compliance as a design constraint rather than a box to check. You've built and run campaigns that grow audiences and support organizational goals.
• Strategic Communication – You tailor messaging to specific audiences and adapt existing messaging into digital formats without losing brand and voice. You know what to say on which channel and why, and you've done this work on a timeline, supporting communications through launches and campaigns as well as the day-to-day.
• Program Management - You have owned tactical decisions for a communications program, defined the practices that guide their execution, and managed that execution to drive strategic priorities forward. You prioritize workstreams based on capacity and emerging needs, and you anticipate risks and opportunities.
• Project Management – You manage multiple projects with clarity and precision, juggling timelines, competing priorities, and stakeholder feedback to deliver strong results. You are comfortable navigating feedback and approvals and moving work through coordination and shared planning. 
• Cross-Team Collaboration – You work well across teams and departments. You make a habit of noticing who’s not at the table—and you invite them to join you.
• Commitment to CTCL’s Mission and Values – You believe in democracy and care about excellent election administration. Your work is shaped by determination, inclusion, curiosity, collaboration, and reflection.

Experience in advocacy or non-profit communications, basic HTML/CSS knowledge, and familiarity with digital accessibility standards are all pluses, but not required.
