Environmental & Permitting Manager

Position Overview

The Manager, Environmental and Permitting is responsible for leading all environmental compliance, permitting, and regulatory engagement activities for the Company’s Nevada-based mining operations and development projects. This role supports advancement of projects in alignment with publicly listed company expectations, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk management, and timely permitting to meet development milestones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead permitting strategy and execution for exploration, development, and operational activities in Nevada.
  • Prepare and manage federal, state, and local permits including BLM, NDEP, and county-level approvals.
  • Oversee environmental baseline studies, NEPA processes, and environmental impact assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. federal and Nevada state environmental regulations.
  • Manage agency relationships and coordinate inspections and reporting.
  • Integrate environmental and permitting requirements into mine planning, engineering, and scheduling.
  • Build, lead, and manage a multidisciplinary environmental and permitting team, ensuring alignment on scope, budget, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Support ESG initiatives and disclosure requirements consistent with regulator and investor expectations.
  • Identify permitting risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect project timelines.
  • Maintain documentation and support audits, due diligence, and technical reporting.

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7–10+ years of environmental and permitting experience in mining.
  • Strong knowledge of Nevada permitting frameworks and federal regulations (NEPA, Clean Water Act, etc.).
  • Experience working with BLM and Nevada regulatory agencies.
  • Familiarity with publicly listed company expectations and ESG reporting standards.
  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

 Reporting Structure

This position reports to senior leadership and works cross-functionally with geology, engineering, operations, and corporate teams.
