Document Controller

Position Overview

Central Nevada Gold is seeking a Document Controller to support the Mule Canyon mine site and corporate team by maintaining accurate, organized, and controlled project and operational documentation. This role will establish and administer document control processes to ensure drawings, technical reports, contracts, permits, procedures, correspondence, and other critical records are properly maintained, distributed, and readily accessible.

 

The Document Controller will work closely with engineering, geology, environmental, operations, finance, and management teams as Mule Canyon advances toward mine restart.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the company’s document management and document control systems, including SharePoint and other project repositories.
  • Manage the receipt, filing, distribution, revision, and archiving of drawings, reports, specifications, procedures, contracts, permits, and other controlled documents.
  • Establish and maintain document numbering, naming conventions, revision controls, and filing structures.
  • Maintain document registers, transmittals, revision histories, and distribution records.
  • Ensure employees and consultants are working from current and approved versions of controlled documents.
  • Coordinate document submissions and exchanges with consultants, contractors, engineering firms, and other external parties.
  • Support engineering and technical teams with drawing and technical document management.
  • Maintain organized records supporting permitting, environmental compliance, technical studies, construction planning, and mine operations.
  • Assist with SharePoint administration, folder structures, permissions, and document organization.
  • Support audits, due diligence, regulatory reviews, and management requests by retrieving and compiling documentation.
  • Identify gaps or inconsistencies in records and work with responsible teams to maintain complete and accurate files.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of company document control procedures and standards.
  • Perform other administrative and project support duties as required.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of document control, project administration, records management, or similar experience.
  • Experience supporting mining, engineering, construction, industrial, or other technical projects preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience managing technical drawings, engineering documents, revision control, and document registers preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage large volumes of documentation and competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees, consultants, contractors, and management across multiple disciplines

 

Reporting Structure

This position reports to Senior Leadership and works cross-functionally with geology, engineering, operations, and corporate teams.
