Brief Summary of Role

We are looking for a dynamic, high-energy Commercial Sales Leader to act as the "landing leader" for our Commercial motion in EMEA. This is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for building the foundation of our Commercial business, managing a dual-function team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) and Account Executives (AEs).

As the first leader on the ground for this segment, you will bridge the gap between top-of-funnel pipeline generation and closed-won revenue. You are someone who thrives in the "builder" phase—equally comfortable coaching a BDR on cold-calling techniques as you are jumping into a $100k+ complex negotiation with an AE. You will lead from the front, establishing the playbook for a high-velocity, high-growth region.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build & Scale: Hire, onboard, and lead a high-performing team of BDRs and AEs across EMEA.
  • Pipeline & Revenue Ownership: Own the full sales lifecycle for the Commercial segment, ensuring BDRs hit meeting targets and AEs exceed revenue quotas.
  • Front-Line Coaching: Actively participate in deal cycles ranging from $10k (transactional) to $100k+ (complex). Conduct regular 1:1s, call reviews, and deal strategy sessions.
  • Operational Excellence: Track and be accountable for team productivity, forecasting accuracy in Salesforce, and identifying bottlenecks in the sales process.
  • Playbook Development: Refine the EMEA Commercial motion, identifying what resonates in-market and scaling those tactics across the team.
  • Culture Leadership: Foster a competitive yet collaborative environment that rewards grit, curiosity, and excellence.
  • Talent Pipeline: Develop BDRs into "sales-ready" candidates for future AE roles, creating a sustainable talent engine for Copado.

We Are Looking for Someone With

  • Front-Line Management Experience: At least 2-4 years of experience leading fast-paced sales teams within a SaaS environment.
  • Full-Cycle Fluency: Proven experience navigating both high-volume transactional sales and mid-market complex deal cycles ($10k - $150k+).
  • Entrepreneurial Grit: You are unafraid to build the playbook as you go. You roll up your sleeves to solve problems and execute through change.
  • Metric-Driven Leadership: You are an advocate for data and can use Salesforce metrics to identify areas for improvement in conversion rates and velocity.
  • Motivational Impact: You have a natural ability to inspire trust and confidence, driving your team to exceed targets in a growth-stage environment.
  • SaaS Expertise: Experience selling to SMB and Mid-Market customers, ideally within the DevOps, Cybersecurity, or Cloud infrastructure space.

Nice to Have

  • Salesforce Ecosystem: Deep familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem or experience selling AppExchange solutions.
  • Multilingual: Proficiency in a second European language (French, German, or Spanish) is a significant plus.

Location & Work Style

  • Hybrid: This role requires a presence in our regional hub (4 days a week in-office) to foster the collaborative energy required to build a new regional motion.
