Equality Florida is the state's largest civil rights organization dedicated to securing full equality for Florida’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community. We're changing Florida through lobbying, grassroots organizing, education, and coalition building — so that no one suffers harassment or discrimination on the basis of their sexual orientation or gender identity or expression.

Since our founding in 1997, we’ve become one of the largest statewide LGBTQ groups in the country with more than 400,000 supporters, more than 15,000 volunteers, and staff located in major Florida cities to organize and support our work.

  • Develop processes that enhance member engagement and deepen relationships with Equality Florida's membership base
  • Create tracking mechanisms and databases to maintain organized records of volunteer and member interactions
  • Identify opportunities to improve communication, recognition, and engagement touchpoints throughout the volunteer and member lifecycle
  • Collaborate with program staff to align community engagement efforts with organizational priorities and campaigns

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders
  • Self-directed work style with collaborative instincts — comfortable working independently while knowing when to ask questions and seek support
