About the role:

We’re looking for a high-performing Insurance Account Executive who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. You’ll lead full-cycle B2B sales from prospecting warm leads and consultative selling to closing and onboarding new accounts, while helping shape the standards and culture of our rapidly expanding sales team.  

Position Summary:

The Payroll Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring our clients' payroll-related workflows run accurately, on time, and in full compliance. This role sits within the Customer Success team and works closely with CSMs, clients, and internal partners to manage payroll integrations, troubleshoot issues, and support the smooth administration of benefits tied to payroll processing.

This is a great fit for someone with hands-on payroll or HRIS operations experience who enjoys detail-oriented, process-driven work and wants to grow their career supporting a fast-growing fintech/benefits platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor payroll-related workflows and integrations across an assigned book of client accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Serve as a subject-matter resource for the Customer Success team on payroll processing, deductions, and compliance questions.
  • Troubleshoot payroll integration issues in partnership with clients, internal support, and product/engineering teams, driving timely resolution.
  • Ensure payroll-related processes align with benefits administration requirements and applicable compliance standards (e.g., Section 125, MEC plans).
  • Support client onboarding by configuring and validating payroll integrations and deduction setups.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of payroll configurations, changes, and client-specific requirements.
  • Identify recurring issues or inefficiencies in payroll workflows and recommend process improvements.
  • Partner with Customer Success Managers to support time-sensitive payroll cycles and escalations.
  • Assist in building and maintaining internal playbooks and training materials related to payroll operations.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–5 years of experience in payroll operations, payroll processing, HRIS administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working with payroll systems, payroll integrations, or HRIS platforms strongly preferred.
  • Experience in benefits administration, insurance, or fintech environments is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, especially with time-sensitive, compliance-related processes.
  • Solid understanding of payroll fundamentals (deductions, tax implications, compliance basics).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot integration or data issues independently.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, comfortable explaining payroll concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort working with CRM/support tools and payroll or HRIS software platforms.


Other Requirements

  • Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required to support time-sensitive payroll cycles or client needs.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Fully remote role.
  • Base compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 + 10% annually 
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance.
