About Foxleigh Mine: 

Foxleigh Mine is located in Queensland’s Bowen Basin coalfield, approximately 12km south of Middlemount and 272km northwest of Rockhampton. Established in 1999, Foxleigh is an open cut operation producing benchmark quality LV PCI coal for the export market.

About the Role

Reporting to the CHPP Superintendent, the Process Logistics Engineer plays a key role in optimising CHPP performance, ensuring product coal quality targets are achieved, and coordinating coal logistics to support operational and commercial outcomes.

Working closely with CHPP Operations, Maintenance, Laboratory, Technical Services, and Logistics teams, this role combines technical process engineering, operational problem solving, coal quality management, and logistics coordination to drive safe and efficient plant performance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and optimising CHPP performance, yield, recovery, and throughput
• Supporting troubleshooting and technical problem solving across plant operations
• Analysing plant and production data to identify improvement opportunities
• Supporting coal quality management and ensuring product specifications are achieved
• Developing and implementing coal blending strategies
• Coordinating stockpiling, product allocation, and coal dispatch activities
• Liaising with rail, port, logistics, and operational stakeholders to ensure efficient coal flow
• Supporting process improvement initiatives and plant trials
• Generating operational and performance reporting
• Promoting strong health, safety, and environmental standards across the CHPP

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

• A degree in Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related discipline
• Experience within coal processing, CHPP operations, mineral processing, or fixed plant environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• The ability to work collaboratively across operational and technical teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A proactive and improvement-focused mindset
• Commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement

Experience with coal quality, process optimisation, logistics coordination, or plant performance monitoring will be highly regarded.
