FreshAhead

Customer Experience Manager

About FreshAhead, Inc.

FreshAhead runs daily operations across one of the largest fresh-cut produce ecosystems in the world. Fields, facilities, trucks, forecasts… our software lives in the physical world, where it either works or it doesn't.

What we're building

One team that owns everything the customer touches: support, triage, implementation, training, project management, the free-to-paid conversion, renewals, escalations. Most companies split that across three to five departments. We don't.

Who we're looking for

Someone who can hold a lot of threads at once without dropping them, and who treats a confused customer as a problem to solve rather than a ticket to close. You don't need to be the deepest technical expert in the room, but you need to know when to pull one in and how to run the conversation around them.

You might be a fit if:

  • You've worked a customer-facing role in B2B software: support, success, implementation, or something that blends them.
  • You can run a customer meeting and write a clean follow-up that makes the next one easier.
  • You stay organized across multiple accounts and projects without losing the plot on any of them.
  • You're comfortable when the process doesn't exist yet; we're early, and you'll be building the playbook as you use it.
  • You'd rather bring in the right expert than wing an answer you're not sure of.

What you'll do

  • Handle inbound tickets end-to-end, and produce clean triage on every one (who's affected, what's at stake, what business process sits underneath) so anything that needs Product or Engineering hands off clean.
  • Get new customers up and running, and build the training that gets them to value faster.
  • Own the customer-facing side of projects: the plan, the Monday boards, the meetings, the follow-ups. On build projects, you own everything the customer sees while Product and Engineering own the build.
  • Work the human layer of free-to-paid conversion: outreach, training, removing whatever's in the way.
  • Watch account health, flag risk early, and run the save play before it's a fire.
  • Route customer feedback to Product, help ship release notes and incident updates, and be the calm point of contact when something goes sideways.

What this isn't

This isn't a script-reading support seat. It isn't closing tickets by volume. And it isn't a role where the lanes are drawn for you. You'll be drawing them. If you want narrowly defined work, this early-stage version won't be comfortable.

What you'll get

Real ownership of the customer relationship, a hand in building the function from the ground up, and a team that treats the customer's experience as the product.

On-site, San Luis Obispo, CA. Compensation commensurate with experience.
