DevOps Engineer

Fusion is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join us in Woodbridge, NJ, helping build and scale the infrastructure behind our healthcare platform, someone who's as comfortable automating deployments as they are hardening CI/CD pipelines and keeping our systems reliable under real-world load. You'll work closely with our engineering team to keep things running smoothly and securely, while helping us raise the bar on how we ship software. If you like owning infrastructure end to end and care about doing it right in a space where reliability actually matters, we'd love to talk.

About Fusion Health
Most healthcare software is built for the easy cases. Fusion Health builds for the rest.

We support clinicians working in movement restricted communities, where care delivery is more complex and software reliability is critical. In these environments, systems need to work consistently because there is no room for failure. This has been our focus since 2006.

That is not an accident. It is who we hire.

Bryan Jakovcic(EY Entrepreneur of the Year) built this company and still personally interviews every single person who joins it. Because the people here are not a department or a headcount. They are the company. Fusion has been recognized by INC as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States for four consecutive years, including #8 in New Jersey and #38 in the NY Tri-State area, and by Deloitte on its Fast 500 list of fastest-growing technology companies in the United States. We are also proud to be certified as a Great Place to Work by Fortune!. That growth and recognition happened because the right people showed up and did something with it.

We are driven, self aware, and we own what we do. That is the culture. No more, no less.

If this is the kind of work you've been looking for, this is where you do the best work of your career.

What we offer:

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401K
  • Generous PTO

What You'll Do:

This role is vital to our organization's mission and growth, and if selected, you'll work on the following challenging and interesting projects:

  • Maintain our current GitLab CI pipelines while leading their migration to GitHub Actions, integrated with Octopus Deploy for releases, covering build, test, artifact publishing, and database deployments.
  • Plan, analyze, and migrate repositories, metadata, and version history from legacy platforms (GitLab, Octopus, etc) into GitHub Enterprise.
  • Develop and maintain Terraform for per-client environments and reusable modules, with every change reviewed through merge requests and applied through the pipeline
  • Deploy and operate applications on Azure App Services and Azure Container Apps, and automate the build and deployment paths that move legacy VM-hosted workloads onto them
  • Build and maintain container workflows, including tagging, package registry management, and promotion across environments
  • Implement and tune monitoring, logging, and alerting in Datadog and Azure so deployment failures and performance regressions surface quickly
  • Participate in incident response and the on-call rotation, run blameless post-incident reviews, and automate fixes for recurring issues
  • Build security in the delivery pipeline (secrets handling, SAST, SCA, Managed Identity and Service Principal configuration, least privilege access, dependency scanning, etc) in partnership with security and compliance teams
  • Improve developer experience and delivery performance by standardizing pipeline templates, shortening build times, and tracking deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, and time to restore service

Who You Are:

We believe in harnessing diverse talents and perspectives, and if you believe you have what it takes to excel in this role, we want to hear from you. We look forward to reviewing your application if you have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on DevOps, build and release, or site reliability experience, including at least 2 years in Azure
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitLab CI, Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions, including Git branching and merge request workflows
  • Strong Terraform skills and scripting ability in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
  • Working knowledge of the Azure services used in application delivery: App Services, Container Apps, Azure SQL, Managed Identity, and Azure Front Door
  • Hands-on experience with building and deploying .NET applications through automated pipelines
  • Experience supporting production systems, including observability tooling, incident response, and on call
  • Understanding of DevSecOps practices: secrets management, least-privilege access, identity configuration, and securing CI/CD pipelines
  • Ideal Fusionites are strong problem solvers who work independently, write clear documentation for pipelines and runbooks, share knowledge across teams, and bring a fun, energetic personality

Nice to Have:

  • Hands-on experience migrating .NET workloads from IIS on Windows VMs to Azure PaaS services such as App Services or Container Apps
  • Experience working with Azure networking, including VNETs, subnets, Network Security Groups, Application Gateway, and traffic routing and failover patterns
  • Exposure to Azure integration services such as Service Bus, Data Factory, or Logic Apps
  • Experience delivering in regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2, or HITRUST), including change control, audit trails, and access reviews
  • Microsoft Azure certification, ideally AZ-400 (DevOps Engineer Expert) or AZ-104 (Azure Administrator)
