ABOUT THE GTM TEAM


The Go-to-Market team at GenLogs is responsible for bringing our nationwide commercial-vehicle intelligence platform to the agencies and enterprises that depend on trustworthy, real-time freight visibility. We work directly with state and federal law-enforcement partners, departments of transportation, ports, shippers, carriers, and brokers to define problems, scope operational deployments, and scale high-impact programs. As the commercial face of GenLogs, we translate the capabilities of the Trident sensor network and freight intelligence data platform into clear value propositions that strengthen public safety, reduce fraud and theft, and improve supply-chain reliability. The team operates with urgency, precision, and deep market understanding, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to ensure our solutions solve the most important problems in the freight ecosystem.


ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary focus of the Head of Pre Sales is to partner with Sales to evaluate customer needs, design tailored solutions, and demonstrate the value of the GenLogs platform throughout the sales cycle. Acting as a trusted technical advisor, you'll guide discovery sessions, lead product demonstrations, architect solutions, and help customers envision how GenLogs can solve their most critical freight intelligence challenges.

You'll collaborate closely with Account Executives to accelerate sales opportunities while partnering with Customer Success to ensure a seamless transition from implementation through long-term customer adoption. This is an Individual Contributor role reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Value Selling & Business Case Development: Partner with Sales to lead executive and business stakeholder conversations that uncover strategic priorities, quantify operational challenges, and build consensus around the measurable business value and ROI GenLogs can deliver. Develop value-based business cases that support commercial discussions and investment decisions.

Technical Discovery & Solution Design: Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer workflows, systems, data, integration requirements, and success criteria. Translate these requirements into tailored solution recommendations that align GenLogs' capabilities with the customer's operational needs and implementation goals. 

Product Demonstrations: Deliver compelling, customized product demonstrations that clearly articulate business value to both technical and executive audiences.

Sales Partnership: Partner closely with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle to develop account strategies, qualify opportunities, overcome technical objections, and accelerate deal progression.

Customer Education: Serve as a trusted advisor by educating prospects on industry best practices, product capabilities, integrations, and implementation approaches.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales to communicate customer requirements, influence product direction, and ensure smooth customer handoffs after contract execution.

Technical Content: Contribute to solution documentation, competitive positioning, technical collateral, and internal enablement materials.

Travel: Travel as needed for customer meetings, onsite discovery sessions, executive presentations, conferences, and industry events.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or Pre-Sales experience within a B2B SaaS organization.
  • Proven experience delivering compelling product demonstrations and executive-level presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong discovery and consultative selling skills with the ability to translate business challenges into technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with the enterprise SaaS ecosystem and modern software architecture.
  • Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles and complex buying committees.
  • Ability to prioritize competing customer demands while balancing business objectives.
  • Experience with front-end development, APIs, developer tools, or the software development lifecycle is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, you thrive in ambiguity and enjoy building processes in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Transportation, logistics, supply chain, or commercial auto insurance experience is preferred but not required.



US SALARY RANGE

GenLogs establishes compensation based on role, level, experience, and location. Salary bands are benchmarked against high-growth technology companies and adjusted for market conditions. Equity grants are included in most full-time offers to ensure every team member participates in the company’s long-term value creation.
