About the Role

Happy to Help Caregiving is seeking a highly experienced Weekend On-Call Caregiver to join our non-medical home care team in the Pocatello area. This position is ideal for a dependable, flexible caregiver who can respond to same-day staffing needs and provide exceptional care to seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities in their own homes.

As a Weekend On-Call Caregiver, you will serve as a trusted member of our team by filling open shifts, assisting clients during unexpected schedule changes, and ensuring continuity of care. This role requires someone who is confident working independently, adapts quickly to different client needs, and is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Schedule & Pay

• Availability Required: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-Call Pay: $16.00/hour from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM for remaining available to accept assignments.
• Client Care Pay: $18.00/hour for any client shifts worked while on call.

What You'll Do

Depending on each client's individualized care plan, responsibilities may include:

• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
• Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when needed
• Performing light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and maintaining a safe home environment
• Providing medication reminders (no medication administration)
• Assisting with mobility, transfers, and repositioning
• Transporting clients to appointments and errands when authorized
• Providing respite care for family caregivers
• Completing accurate documentation and communicating changes in client condition to the office
• Following all care plans while maintaining professionalism, compassion, and client dignity

Qualifications

We're looking for caregivers who are dependable, confident, and capable of stepping into a variety of client situations with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CNA certification or extensive in-home caregiving experience strongly preferred
• Previous experience with personal care, transfers, mobility assistance, dementia care, and companionship
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing client needs
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
