Job Title: Corporate Director of Human Resources Location: Ocean City, MD - Corporate Office


Reports to: Chief Financial Officer


Basic Purpose:

The Corporate Director of Human Resources leads and executes HR strategy across Harrison Group, ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance, and development of a high-performing workforce.


Organizational Scope:

Oversees all HR functions across the organization including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, compensation and benefits, training, and HR systems across all properties.


Essential Functions:

  1. Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with company goals
  2. Oversee HR operations including compensation, benefits, and employee relations
  3. Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations
  4. Lead recruiting and workforce planning initiatives
  5. Analyze HR metrics and report to executive leadership
  6. Drive employee engagement and retention programs
  7. Manage HR budgets and departmental resources
  8. Travel to properties to support HR initiatives


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Strong leadership and executive presence
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  3. Deep knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  4. Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  5. Ability to manage multiple priorities
  6. High level of integrity and confidentiality
  7. Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office


Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field required
  2. 8–12 years of progressive HR experience
  3. 5+ years in senior leadership role
  4. SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred

Travel Required:

Occasional travel to hotel properties for training, meetings, and operational support.


Hours Required:

Forty to fifty hours per week over a five-day period; flexibility required based on business needs.


Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds and travel as needed.
