Reports To: Business Operations Manager


Employment Status: Full-Time, Regular


Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000/year, Exempt

About the role


The Project Engineer is to support the business and be responsible for the oversight of most major aspects of equiment installation, construction work, including organizing the acquisition of materials, equipment and workers, planning for costs. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently but will work closely and report to the Business Operations Manager. The role supports cross-functional initiatives across headquarters and subsidiary operations by coordinating project activities, managing data, and ensuring operational alignment. This role serves as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners, contributing to the successful execution of projects related to equipment sourcing, logistics, and business operations.


This position is best suited for a detail-oriented and highly organized professional who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and strong communication across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


What you'll do

  • Support execution of cross-functional projects across multiple business units
  • Assist in managing equipment sourcing initiatives and supplier coordination
  • Monitor site installations and assists with problem-solving, coordination with subcontractors and field communications.
  • Tracking document control, permitting, scheduling, bidding, client/subcontractor/internal meeting documentation, and project closeout.
  • Assist the project team with site safety documentation and coordination.
  • Maintain accurate project data, records, and documentation
  • Coordinate logistics across internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Maintain organized electronic filing systems and project documentation
  • Support day-to-day operational needs that impact project execution
  • Assist in preparing basic project cost tracking and profitability inputs
  • Support data collection for profit and loss analysis as needed
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide timely, professional communication and follow-up
  • Deliver high-quality internal customer service through responsiveness and problem-solving
  • Create and maintain documents, spreadsheets, and presentations using Google Workspace
  • Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and communication between departments and external partners

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in operations, project coordination, or administrative support in a manufacturing or similar environment preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (specially Sheets/Excel)
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and support team objective
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to read construction mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) drawings.

Work Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Primarily office-based environment with regular use of computer, phone, and standard office equipment
  • Prolonged periods of sitting; occasional standing and walking
  • Frequent use of hands/fingers for typing, data entry, and document handling
  • Visual acuity required for reviewing data, reports, and electronic communications
  • Frequent verbal communication (in-person, phone, virtual)
  • Occasional travel to subsidiary locations (may include out-of-state travel)
  • Exposure to manufacturing and warehouse environments during site visits
  • Walking production floors and navigating operational areas as needed
  • Compliance with all safety policies and required PPE when onsite
  • Reasonable accommodations may be provided in accordance with applicable law

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel up to 25% to subsidiary locations nationwide
