About our Client:

Just in Time delivers trauma-informed, attachment-based mental health care for youth transitioning out of foster care by repairing relational ruptures and restoring connection. Through consistent and trustworthy relationships, community integration, and evidence-based therapeutic practices, we support participants in rebuilding agency, safety, emotional regulation, and the capacity for healthy, sustaining relationships.


Job Overview:

The Mental Wellness Manager will serve as a key partner to the Director of Mental Wellness to ensure the mental wellness activities of Just In Time For Foster Youth are provided to the highest standards. The Mental Wellness Manager will have primary responsibility for all administrative and compliance practices of the Wellness Center including the tracking and communication of all Impact Measurement data. They will assist in clinical supervision and training of unlicensed clinicians as well as provide direct clinical services to the JIT community.

Responsibilities:

Essential responsibilities for the Mental Wellness Manager are:

  • Operational Leadership 
    • Key stakeholder of compliance practices, administrative protocols, and systems.
    • Implementation and management of standard operating procedures for wellness interns and wellness therapists that facilitate student/therapist onboarding, documentation, communications protocols, standards of patient support, etc.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Work closely with the Director of Mental Wellness to develop and implement strategic wellness initiatives aligned with JIT’s mission and goals.
    • Collaborate and co-partner with Youth and Volunteer services aimed at health, wellness, and healing. 
  • Staff & Talent Development
    • Provide primary and secondary clinical supervision to unlicensed clinicians.
    • Provide didactic training to student therapists as needed.
  • Community Engagement
    • Provide clinical services for JIT participants, alumni, and staff as needed.
    • Develop community outreach strategies.
  • Program & Impact Management
    • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, ensuring high-impact service delivery and alignment with JIT’s objectives.
    • Communicate the data, outcomes, and impact of the counseling program in collaboration with the Impact Measurement Team to internal and external partners to inspire and advance talent, time, and treasure investments.
    • Conduct research on the efficacy of treatment modalities.
    • Develop and implement research protocols for the services including the standardization and frequency of assessment tools.


Qualifications: Education & Experience:


  • Licensed in California as a Clinical Psychologist/LMFT/LCSW/LPCC for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision is preferred.
  • Knowledge of foster care system and related issues is preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse populations that have trauma related symptoms required.
  • Experience directing, managing, and leading programs required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) required.
  • Basic knowledge using virtual community platforms (Zoom, Google Hangouts, etc.).

Compensation & Benefits: 


Pay rate: Half-time salary, $70,500


Robust benefits: medical, dental & vision coverage, retirement savings bonus plan with 3% employer matching contributions, personal time off, and ten (10) paid holidays. 



Application Process: 


This part time position is available immediately and open until filled. This role requires occasional evening and weekend hours.
