The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Digital Designer to join our Marketing team on a maternity leave contract. In this hands-on role, you’ll drive creative excellence across digital campaigns, web experiences, and brand touchpoints while mentoring a small team of designers and freelancers. Working closely with marketing, product, and engineering teams, you’ll bring strategic thinking, creative flair, and a passion for delivering engaging, user-centred digital experiences.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of digital design strategies aligned with business objectives and brand guidelines.
  • Create engaging, user-centred designs across websites, digital campaigns, social media, and other online platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business goals into effective and visually compelling design solutions.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, leveraging user research and feedback to continuously improve the customer experience.
  • Ensure consistency of brand identity and visual standards across all digital touchpoints.
  • Mentor designers and freelance creatives while championing design innovation, emerging trends, and AI-enabled tools to enhance creativity and efficiency.


Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in digital and web design, supported by a strong portfolio showcasing creative thinking, campaign development, UX/UI design, and execution across multiple digital channels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and digital creative production workflows, with experience in responsive web design, WordPress, HTML, and CSS.
  • Proven ability to plan and conduct UX research activities, including user testing, interviews, workshops, surveys, and A/B testing, translating insights into user-centred design solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and confidently advocate for human-centred design principles using data-driven insights.
  • Experience using analytics and performance measurement tools to evaluate digital campaigns and optimise user experiences through actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work within agile environments, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced setting.
