Finance Analyst

If numbers only mean something to you once you can explain what they mean for the business, this role gives you that seat. You'll own the bridge between day-to-day finance operations and the commercial reporting that our Executive Leadership Team and Service Line Directors actually run the business on.

About J4RVIS
J4RVIS brings humans and technology together - for businesses built on relationships. We're a consulting business at our core, guiding enterprises through transformation by listening first, then building technology that makes people more capable, not redundant.

Since launching in 2020, we've grown to a team of 110+ people across Australia and the Philippines. We hold Salesforce Summit Partner status alongside partnerships with Anthropic, ElevenLabs, Snowflake, and AWS - spanning business systems, data and integration, conversational AI, and agentic automation. We've been recognised as a Deloitte Fast 50 "Rising Star", CRN Fast 50, and Great Place to Work in both countries. But the awards describe where we've been, not where we're going.

We go deep in the industries we serve: media, financial services, energy and utilities, because domain expertise is what makes the technology work. We measure success by three business outcomes: customer experience transformation, operational efficiency, and revenue generation. Not hours billed.

AI is central to what we do. We deploy Agentforce at scale, build conversational AI, and develop intelligent automation already running in production. Every team is augmented by AI, and every consultant is developing toward advisory, not just delivery.

We're on a growth spurt to further scale with an APAC expansion underway and a strategy that's locked in. If you want to be part of a firm that's building something that endures, where the culture is real and the ambition is high then this is an exciting time to join.

We're still early in our journey, and that's what makes this an exciting time to join.

Why This Role Exists
J4RVIS needs a single source of financial truth: operationally clean and commercially useful. This role sits between our internal operations and our external accounting firm, doing the pre-work that keeps our books accurate while layering on the analysis that gives Directors real visibility over profitability, margin, and budget performance. Get this right, and leadership makes better decisions faster. Get it wrong, and every downstream report is compromised.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Preparing company-wide and Service Line financial reporting, including profitability (Revenue, Cost of Sales, Gross Margin) for each Director
  • Tracking budget performance and writing variance commentary that helps leadership manage spend
  • Owning project financial tracking, flagging margin risk early so Delivery can course-correct
  • Managing invoicing and Accounts Receivable end-to-end, keeping cash flow healthy
  • Running bookkeeping pre-work (transaction coding, journals, reconciliations) that feeds cleanly into month-end close
  • Overseeing expense and commission processing so everything reaching the external accountant is accurate and policy-compliant
  • Acting as the day-to-day finance point of contact for Service Line Directors, Delivery, and Operations

What We're Looking For
Must-have:

  • Three or more years in a finance role spanning transactional operations (bookkeeping, invoicing, AR, expenses) and commercial analysis (profitability, budgeting, variance)
  • Experience in an IT services, technology consulting, or professional services business
  • Demonstrated experience preparing management reporting for non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience working alongside an external accountant or outsourced accounting function
  • Strong grasp of core finance operations: bank reconciliations, transaction coding, journals, AR, and expense reconciliation
  • Commercial analysis capability: building and interpreting profitability, budget-versus-actual, and forecast-to-complete reporting
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Nice -to-have:

  • Familiarity with Xero and a professional services PSA or project-costing tool
  • Progress toward or completion of CPA/CA or equivalent
