This position supports the evaluation of commercial and nontraditional capabilities to determine operational relevance, acquisition readiness, affordability, supportability, and transition potential. The role provides advisory and decision-support services and does not perform inherently governmental functions.

What You'll Do

  • Develop engagement strategies, executive read-aheads, stakeholder maps, meeting objectives, discussion guides, vendor summaries, and follow-up trackers.
  • Assess technology candidates and vendors for mission alignment, acquisition pathways, business viability, transition sponsorship, resource requirements, risks, and recommended courses of action.
  • Develop and maintain technology opportunity pipelines and support portfolio reviews, business case analyses, and technology transition planning.
  • Draft decision memoranda, issue papers, executive summaries, briefings, meeting records, and risk assessments for senior government leaders.
  • Translate technical, commercial, financial, operational, and acquisition information into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Advise government personnel on industry engagement practices that maintain procurement integrity, fairness, impartiality, organizational conflict of interest awareness, and proper separation of market research from acquisition activities.
  • Support acquisition planning, market research efforts, and program management activities related to emerging technologies.
  • Provide strategic assessments of commercial firms, technology readiness, supply chain resilience, intellectual property considerations, data rights, and vendor sustainability.
  • Assist government stakeholders in evaluating transition opportunities and organizational readiness for technology adoption.

  • Strong understanding of acquisition, resourcing, cost, schedule, performance, and program risk considerations.
  • Experience evaluating commercial firms or emerging technologies for adoption by government, defense, intelligence, or similarly complex organizations.
  • Knowledge of intellectual property considerations, software licensing, data rights, supply chain risk, and vendor viability assessments.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare executive-level products, brief senior leaders, and synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations.
