The Role

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Member Services Representative to support our patients by phone and text. Because Member Services is often a patient’s first point of contact, this role plays an important part in creating a welcoming and helpful experience.

The right person will communicate clearly, handle patient information with care, and use good judgment when resolving questions or involving another team member.

What You Will Do

• Answer incoming calls and respond to patient text messages in a friendly and professional manner.
• Help patients with scheduling, membership questions, account information, and other general requests.
• Accurately document patient interactions and protect private or sensitive information.
• Manage multiple requests while staying organized and recognizing when an issue should be escalated.
• Work closely with clinical, billing, and other team members to support patients.
• Address patient questions and concerns with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
• Learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and responsibilities as the organization grows.
  
  

Position Details

This is a full-time, in-person position at our clinic. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems.
• Ability to manage multiple requests and changing priorities.
• Reliability and availability to work the required in-person schedule.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Previous customer service, sales, or other service-focused experience.

Preferred Experience

Health care experience is not required. However, any of the following would be helpful:

• Previous health care, patient-service, medical scheduling, or front-desk experience.
• Experience using an electronic health record or patient-management system.
• Familiarity with HIPAA or patient confidentiality.
• Experience managing a high volume of calls or messages.
• Experience resolving complaints or de-escalating difficult situations.
• Experience with membership-based health care, sales, or membership enrollment.
