About the role

The EMT at LGTC Group - Eating Disorder RTC plays a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care to our adolescent clients going through eating disorder treatment in our 24/7 facility. This position is essential for ensuring that all patients receive timely medical attention and support, contributing to their overall well-being and recovery. Ultimately, the EMT will help create a safe and nurturing environment that provides comfort and safety for all clients during the overnight shift.

As of 10/13/26, we are looking for part-time candidates who can commit to a set schedule of Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday NOC (10:30pm-7:00am) shifts. The ability to work a weekend day is required.

What you'll do

• Monitor clients overnight by completing rounds every 15 minutes  

• Give medication under the direction of our medical professionals  

• Take vitals as needed  

• Cleaning and sanitizing tasks 

• Survey for ligature and other safety risks in the facility  
• Provide emotional support for clients who are struggling overnight and help them return to bed 

• Communicate effectively with other medical professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes  

Qualifications

• Valid CA EMT certification  

• Current CPR/BLS/First-Aid certification  

• Ability to work one weekend shift regularly 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills  

• Ability to work well under pressure and take initiative 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Experience working in an emergency medical setting  

• Experience working night shifts  

• Proficiency in Spanish  

• Experience working with teenagers
