Located in Big Sky, Montana, Lone Mountain Ranch is a historic guest ranch situated on 148 acres in the heart of the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem. As a Host at Lone Mountain Ranch, you'll set the tone for a memorable dining experience by welcoming guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. You'll coordinate reservations, manage seating, and work closely with the restaurant team to ensure smooth service in a welcoming and polished environment.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, thrives in a lively restaurant atmosphere, and takes pride in making every guest feel valued.

What You'll Do

• Greet guests warmly, manage reservations and waitlists, and coordinate seating to create a welcoming arrival experience.
• Monitor table availability and dining room flow to support efficient, well-paced service.
• Communicate with servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and leadership to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Answer questions about menus, dining options, and Ranch experiences with confidence and enthusiasm.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting host stand, entrance, and waiting area.
• Assist with table resets, water service, takeout orders, and other dining room needs as necessary.
• Accommodate special requests and help resolve guest concerns with professionalism and care.
• Support fellow team members during busy service periods, contributing to a collaborative and hospitality-focused environment.

What You'll Bring

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
• Friendly, polished, and professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Familiarity with reservation platforms, POS systems, and basic computer applications preferred.
• Ability to communicate confidently with guests and coworkers while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Willingness to assist throughout the dining room and adapt to changing service needs.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout restaurant service.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds as needed.
• Ability to move comfortably throughout the dining room and assist with routine restaurant support tasks.
