Associate Corporate Counsel


Longevity’s Legal department is hiring!  Are you interested in joining a collaborative and supportive team?  While working on our small legal team, you’ll gain experience in many areas of the law and work with various business unit leaders.  We are seeking a talented attorney for the following hybrid position.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

·        Perform routine legal work

·        Effectively partners with more experienced attorneys on complex/significant matters 

·        Interest and ability to learn business issues 

·        Provide support to the businesses 

·        Assist with corporate governance and formalities

·        Manage corporate licenses

·        Draft and review agreements

·        Legal and business issue spotting 

·        Support more experienced attorneys with contract negotiations 

·        Legal research and presentation on regulatory, compliance, privacy, litigation, or other legal matters 

·        Assist with litigation and subpoenas

·        Support diligence or integration in M&A 

·        Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Location and Physical Requirements:

·        Hybrid; report to Minneapolis office once per week

·        When remote (access to reliable internet connection required)

·        Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer.

 

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • U.S. law degree 
  • 1-year legal experience 
  • Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail 
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills 
  • Demonstrates strong performance in legal writing 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and a demanding workload, while meeting tight deadlines 
  • Proficient at legal research 
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 
  • Ability to work effectively independently and with a team

The base pay range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000.  Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
