Product Management @ MergeCo
In this role, you are responsible for the primary channel through which our clients sell branded merchandise. You will own the problems and opportunities within the Store-building and management experience, leading your squad to define, design, and deliver features that provide ongoing customer value, drive key business outcomes, and strengthen our competitive advantage.
This role sits within the Product organization and reports to the Director of Product.
The ideal candidate loves solving complex problems to help our business grow and is curious and enthusiastic about product management.
Day in the Life
- Lead a dedicated cross-functional squad (Engineering & Design) to predictably deliver quarterly roadmaps. You are responsible for the "what" and, collaborating with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams, for the “how” and "when" of delivery, from planning to launch.
- You don’t wait for work; you hunt for value for our customers and our business. Conduct continuous discovery to develop a deep understanding of our customers and translate those insights into data-grounded business cases.
- Integrate knowledge of industry trends and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
- Turn insights from discovery and data analysis into clear problems & opportunities for the quarterly roadmap.
- Define and track success metrics that move the needle on our initiatives and themes. You are successful when your features see high adoption and measurably improve store performance, customer satisfaction, and drive revenue.
- Manage the product backlog with a focus on predictability. Balance high-impact roadmap epics with the triage of unplanned work, bugs, and technical debt to maintain platform health.
- Partner closely with Go-to-Market (GTM) teams. You’ll provide the context needed for successful launches, coordinating internal and external release plans.
- Identify opportunities where new capabilities—including performance scaling and AI—can simplify the operational complexity for our admins and end consumers.
- Communicate ongoing updates on roadmap progress, changes, and risks for internal stakeholders and executives, escalating when needed.
Must Haves
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in Product Management, ideally within B2B SaaS or eCommerce.
- Proven ability to create clarity out of complex, sometimes conflicting requirements and turn them into actionable plans.
- A natural curiosity and drive to understand the "why" behind user behavior and our business, without needing constant direction.
- Strong ability to use data (SQL, Looker, Sigma, Tableau, or similar) to identify problems, validate hypotheses, and measure the success of delivered features.
- Demonstrate an understanding of AI technologies and constraints and implications for defining, designing, and delivering products.
- A toolkit includes AI for prototyping, documentation, etc., and you have specific examples of how you use these tools in your process.
- Passion for delivering high-quality products that meet or exceed user needs and drive business results.
- Ability to align cross-functional stakeholders and translate technical constraints into business value.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status required. Visa Sponsorship is not available at this time.
