Careers at Mindful Health Solutions

General Counsel

The role

Our General Counsel will own legal across all of Radial: the corporate team and a 27-clinic network that just grew through acquisition. You'll build the legal foundation for what comes next, including the structures that let practices beyond our own join Radial.

That means doing two jobs at once. You'll keep a multi-state healthcare operation compliant, and you'll be the partner who helps us move fast on deals, products, and new markets.

Some weeks that means working out how a California practice can join us under corporate practice of medicine rules. Other weeks it means negotiating a bundled rate for accelerated TMS with a payer, or helping a clinic leader through a question about ketamine and DEA rules.

For a while, you'll be the only lawyer here. You'll draft, negotiate, and decide, and bring in outside counsel only where specialist depth is worth paying for.

What you'll do

  • Own legal strategy across corporate, healthcare regulatory, employment, commercial contracts, privacy, litigation, and IP. Build a lean team over time and manage outside counsel so we pay for depth only where we need it.
  • Own our entity and MSO/professional-corporation structure across every state we operate in, including corporate practice of medicine requirements (California especially), and design the structures that let new practices join.
  • Lead M&A legal work from diligence through integration: purchase agreements, earnouts and equity consideration, post-close remediation, and consolidating contracts, vendors, and entities across two networks.
  • Advise on healthcare regulatory compliance: Anti-Kickback and Stark, billing and payer contract terms, telehealth and multi-state licensure, HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, and DEA and REMS requirements for esketamine and ketamine.
  • Negotiate payer and value-based arrangements with our commercial and operations teams, including case-rate and bundled models for accelerated TMS.
  • Support research and life sciences partnerships: sponsor and site agreements, IRB and clinical trial contracting, and data use terms.
  • Work with finance on equity financings, debt facilities, board governance, and investor reporting.
  • Partner with People, Operations, and Clinical leadership on employment across states, including clinician compensation rules and classification.
  • Build compliance that scales: policies, training, an audit cadence, and an escalation path clinic leaders will actually use.
  • Make legal tech-first, with contract management, templates, and AI-assisted review, so legal capacity grows with our clinics instead of our headcount.

Backgrounds we think could thrive here

  • GCs or deputy GCs at multi-site provider groups, MSOs, or PE-backed healthcare platforms
  • Healthcare regulatory lawyers from top firms who've also spent time in-house
  • First lawyers at venture-backed health tech companies that work with provider practices
  • Legal leads who've closed and integrated healthcare roll-ups

This list isn't a checklist. If you see yourself in one of these, we'd like to talk. If you don't but the role still sounds like you, we'd like to talk too.

You may be a great fit if you

  • Have 10+ years practicing law, including several as GC or deputy GC at a high-growth or multi-site healthcare company, or senior healthcare regulatory work at a top firm paired with in-house time.
  • Have structured MSO and professional-corporation models in multiple states, and can tell us which corporate practice of medicine rules you designed around.
  • Have closed healthcare acquisitions and stayed through integration.
  • Know healthcare regulatory law well, and know when to call specialist counsel.
  • Have worked with controlled substances, telehealth, or behavioral health care delivery.
  • Are comfortable being the only lawyer for a while, and triage by risk.
  • Can explain legal risk to a board in plain language.
  • Work back from what the company is trying to do and find the compliant path.
  • Are trusted by clinic leaders and can deliver a hard no well.
  • Use AI in your own work and want to roll it out responsibly across legal.
  • Hold an active bar admission in at least one US state and can practice in-house in the states where we operate.

Nice to have

  • Research site contracting
  • Payer contracting
  • Scaling a legal function through rapid location growth

How we work

Work backwards from the patient. We start with what a patient experiences and build back from there. Sometimes that means launching later, or killing something that looks great on a dashboard but doesn't help anyone get treated.

Urgency with care. Many of our patients arrive after years of treatments that didn't work, and every week of delay costs them. We move fast. We also work with people at their most vulnerable, so we never trade safety or dignity for speed.

Write it down. We decide in writing. Meetings start with silent reading of a PRFAQ or short doc, so the best argument wins instead of the loudest voice. It's slower to write and faster to decide.

Conviction with an open mind. Bring a point of view and argue for it. Change your mind when someone shows you something better, not when they push harder. Once the call is made, back it as if it were yours.

Own the problem, not the lane. Go to where the work happens and learn the details until you understand them better than anyone. If a patient is waiting because of a broken handoff two teams away, it's yours until it's fixed or clearly in someone else's hands. Clinical decisions stay with our clinicians: your job is to raise the issue, not make the call.

Our commitment

Our patients come from every background, and we design for the ones the system has served worst. We build teams the same way. Radial is an equal opportunity employer. We don't discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.

Plenty of great candidates rule themselves out too early. If you care about this problem but don't check every box, apply and let us make that call after we've talked.

Why we exist

Most people with treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, or OCD spend years cycling through medications before anyone mentions there are other options. Treatments like accelerated TMS, SAINT, Spravato, and IV ketamine can work when nothing else has. They're also hard to find, hard to get covered, and hard to deliver well. That gap is why Radial exists.

We support the country's largest network of brain medicine clinics: 27 clinics and more than 100 clinicians across seven states, caring for patients with some of the most serious mental health conditions there are. RadialOS, our AI-native operating system, matches patients to the right treatment, coordinates their care, and takes administrative work off clinicians' plates. We're backed by General Catalyst, and in 2026 we acquired the MSO behind Mindful Health Solutions, one of the pioneers of interventional psychiatry.

Every role here supports our mission of getting patients access to the care they need as quickly as possible.
