Purpose:

The Delivery Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the successful delivery of projects, products, and technology initiatives. This role partners with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure initiatives are completed on time, in scope, and with high quality.


The Delivery Manager maintains department Roadmap, dependencies, identifies delivery risks, and provides clear progress updates to stakeholders. This individual serves as a key point of coordination among technology, operations, business partners, clients, and vendors throughout the delivery lifecycle.

 

Essential Duties/Functions:

  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of assigned products, services, and technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with established timelines, scope, and quality expectations.
  • Coordinate activities across technology, operations, business, vendor, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate project meetings, document decisions, and track deliverables, action items, risks, and issues through completion.
  • Proactively identify delivery risks, resource constraints, competing priorities, and potential delays.
  • Develop mitigation plans and escalate significant delivery concerns to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Partner with business and technology teams to clarify requirements, priorities, acceptance criteria, and delivery expectations.
  • Develop and refine processes to create more efficient and repeatable project delivery.
  • Monitor resource utilization, identifying and communicating potential variances.
  • Support vendor relationships by tracking deliverables, service commitments, contractual obligations, and performance expectations.
  • Participate in vendor performance reviews and document opportunities for service, quality, and delivery improvement.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, business partners, and vendors.
  • Provide regular delivery updates, dashboards, and performance reports to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Track delivery metrics and key performance indicators, including schedule performance, quality, risks, issues, and vendor performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, operational efficiency, communication, documentation, and stakeholder visibility.
  • Support the implementation of standardized delivery practices, tools, templates, and reporting processes.
  • Ensure project documentation is accurate, current, organized, and accessible to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Ensure assigned delivery activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Perform other duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in delivery management, project management, program coordination, technology delivery, vendor management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects or workstreams with competing timelines and priorities.
  • Experience developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, status reports, risk logs, and delivery documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and move deliverables forward without direct authority.
  • Experience identifying project risks, resolving delivery issues, and escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Working knowledge of project delivery methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • ·Ability to travel up to 20% of the year.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within the commercial insurance, property and casualty insurance, insurtech, or financial services industries.
  • Experience supporting technology or product delivery.
  • Experience using AI tools
  • Experience managing or coordinating third-party vendors and service providers.
  • Project Management Professional, Certified ScrumMaster, Agile, or comparable project management certification.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements within the insurance industry.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong project and delivery management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish clear priorities, maintain accountability, and follow through on commitments.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify delivery risks and develop practical mitigation plans.
  • Experience preparing project status reports, dashboards, performance metrics, and leadership updates.
  • Working knowledge of project management platforms such as Azure Devops, Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of vendor performance management and contractual service expectations.
  • Basic knowledge of budget tracking, forecasting, and resource planning.
  • Ability to facilitate productive meetings, resolve competing priorities, and drive decisions.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while remaining highly collaborative and responsive.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential or sensitive business information appropriately.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Requires a quiet work environment with regular sitting at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional walking and standing, and lifting of up to 10 lbs.
  • Regular use of hands and fingers.
  • Frequent talking or hearing.
  • Vision requirements: Close, distance, color, peripheral, focus and depth perception.


Additional Information

This is a remote position. Planned, in-office activities may be required on occasion (typically 2-4x per year).
