About Netwrix Access Analyzer

Netwrix Access Analyzer is a Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) platform. It discovers where data lives across enterprise estates—Active Directory and LocalGroups identity, CIFS/SMB file shares, SharePoint Online, and more, and tells security teams what is sensitive data, who can reach it, how, and where that exposure could be dangerous. Our customers are CISOs, compliance and data-governance leaders, and the security analysts who live in the product day to day. They don’t want a data dump; they want answers: who has access to this sensitive share, which groups are stale or over-permissioned, where is data open to everyone, etc.

The Data Team

Data’s charter: provide world-class data storage, reporting, analytics, and visualization capabilities that enable customers to understand and act on their data security posture. That means owning the ClickHouse warehouse, the Metabase analytics tier (pre-built and self-service reporting) and the data infrastructure makes sure our application data layer scales as customer data volumes climbs.

You’ll go deep on both the data-engineering side (ClickHouse schema, ingestion correctness, materialized-view performance and scale) and the analytics side (Metabase reporting, embedding, self-service), prioritizing pragmatically rather than splitting attention evenly. You set the technical bar, build the automations and Claude configurations that let anyone (including AI) contribute safely. If you want to own an area end-to-end and shape how it’s built, this is it.

What You’ll Own / Key Responsibilities

  • ClickHouse schema, data model, and migrations
  • Materialized views, performance, and scale
  • Data ingestion, lifecycle & operability
  • Building reports and analytics via Metabase
  • Enablement & data storytelling

What We’re NOT Asking You To Own

While we don’t ask you to own these, we of course welcome you to be apart of them (and encourage you to!):

  • Connectors, the connector framework, or scan logic (what we call Discovery)
  • Detection, classification, risk scoring, and other security posture calculations. You materialize, report, and scale these correctly; you don’t have to author the domain logic that decides what they mean.
  • The PostgreSQL application database. It’s adjacent for your information, but not your center of gravity.
  • The core application, orchestration services, etc. The Core team is responsible for the application up until it connects to Metabase.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in data/analytics engineering, including prior tech-lead experience, with meaningful time owning an OLAP database in production. ClickHouse is ideal; Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, and others may be acceptable.
  • Deep SQL and analytical-engine fluency preferred. An understanding of materialized views, partitioning, and OLAP database design design are important.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and structurally fix performance and memory problems at scale. OOMs, read amplification, runaway joins, recursive/graph queries, and more.
  • Strong BI/reporting** experience: dashboards and a report-facing layer that real users depend on. Metabase is a strong plus; Looker/Superset/Tableau/Power BI transfers.
  • Comfort with Golang and Kubernetes is a huge plus.
  • Comfortable being the single accountable person for an area, setting the bar, and making pragmatic depth-vs-breadth calls without someone slicing the work for you.
  • Comfortable working in an AI-first team, driving real work through Claude Code skills/slash commands and authoring the configurations that let others (and AI) do the same.

Nice to Have / Preferred

  • Customer-facing and enablement experience — solution engineering, live demos/streams, technical writing, community/marketplace advocacy. This is a meaningful plus but don’t worry, the center focus remains technical ownership.
  • Data-science / statistics experience

Our Stack

  • Data warehouse: ClickHouse
  • Application database: PostgreSQL
  • Analytics: Metabase
  • Deployment: Kubernetes via Helm and ArgoCD
  • AI-first tooling: Claude Code

How We Work

We are an AI-first engineering team. The expectation isn’t just that you use AI to move faster — it’s that you build your area so that anyone, including AI, can contribute. That means well-shaped Claude plugins, automations, test harnesses, docs that encode the hard-won knowledge (the OOM fixes, the dedup gotchas, the serialization round-trip) so the next contributor (human or AI) doesn’t relearn it. Extensibility and open-source-when-possible are explicit product values. The team is small and ownership is broad: you’ll touch SQL, Go, Python, Helm and maybe even TypeScript in the same week, and you’ll set the conventions everyone else follows.
