Pacifico Energy

Government and Community Relations Manager

Pacifico Energy develops, finances, builds, and operates energy infrastructure that powers businesses and communities. In the U.S., we are tackling one of the biggest challenges facing AI and large-scale data centers: access to reliable power. Our private grids bring dedicated generation and energy storage directly to customers, helping projects move forward without waiting for traditional utility connections. We draw on Pacifico Energy Group’s experience across the U.S., Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam, spanning solar, wind, battery storage, and natural gas. Joining Pacifico means helping turn ambitious energy projects into operating infrastructure, with work that connects directly to the people and businesses building the future of AI.

Help Pacifico build lasting relationships with the communities where we develop and operate energy infrastructure. Reporting to Kevin Pratt, you will lead community engagement and good neighbor programs from early development through construction and ongoing operations. You will turn local concerns into practical solutions, represent Pacifico in public settings, and coordinate delivery of the commitments we make to our neighbors.

What you get to do:

  • Design and implement good neighbor programs tailored to each project, using community input to shape practical benefits, communication plans, and ways to address local impacts.
  • Build trusted relationships with neighbors, community organizations, local officials, and other stakeholders; maintain a clear understanding of their priorities and concerns.
  • Represent Pacifico at neighborhood meetings, community forums, and local government meetings. Prepare clear presentations and respond to difficult questions with accurate, accessible information.
  • Negotiate community commitments and agreements in partnership with Kevin, Legal, and project leaders, aligning proposed terms with project needs, budgets, and approval requirements.
  • Administer approved community commitments during construction and ongoing operations. Maintain records of obligations, owners, budgets, and deadlines, and coordinate fulfillment and reporting with site and asset management teams.
  • Partner with Development and Permitting, Construction, and Operations to incorporate community feedback into project planning and maintain continuity as projects move between teams.
  • Manage community inquiries and complaints, coordinate timely responses with technical teams, and escalate unresolved issues or emerging risks with recommended actions.
  • Track local government activity and community sentiment affecting projects; brief leadership on risks, engagement progress, and decisions needed, and coordinate external advisers where appropriate.

What you bring to the role:

  • Experience owning community relations, government affairs, or stakeholder engagement for energy, infrastructure, industrial development, or similarly complex projects.
  • A track record of designing and delivering community or good neighbor programs that address local priorities and support workable project outcomes.
  • Confident public speaking and clear writing, with experience presenting at community or public meetings and explaining technical topics to nontechnical audiences.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills, including working through opposition and reaching practical agreements with communities or local stakeholders.
  • Strong follow-through in administering commitments, tracking budgets and obligations, and coordinating delivery across project, legal, and operating teams.
  • Knowledge of local government decision-making and public engagement processes, sound judgment about when to involve legal or technical specialists, and availability for project travel and occasional evening community meetings.
