About the role
- This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career marketer to own and grow Rancho Biosciences' entire digital marketing footprint. You will build and execute campaigns across paid, organic, and social channels with the goal of generating qualified pipeline, elevating brand authority, and positioning Rancho above competitors in the digital landscape. You will work closely with the Head of Marketing, business development, and scientific teams to translate complex capabilities into compelling digital narratives that drive our commercial success.
What you'll do
Pipeline & Demand Generation
- Plan and execute multi-channel digital campaigns (paid search, paid social, display, email) designed to generate marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) and contribute to revenue pipeline.
- Own end-to-end campaign execution: audience targeting, ad creative briefing, landing page coordination, lead routing, and reporting.
- Build and optimize lead nurture programs in collaboration with business development to move prospects through the funnel.
- Manage and grow the marketing automation platform (e.g., HubSpot or Marketo), ensuring data hygiene, segmentation, and campaign tracking are consistently maintained.
- Partner with the Head of Marketing to develop and execute an annual digital marketing calendar aligned to company revenue goals.
- Partner with Marketing and Sales team to execute on ABM and event campaigns.
SEO & Organic Growth
- Develop and execute an SEO strategy including keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO improvements, and backlink outreach.
- Create and publish SEO-optimized content (blog posts, case study excerpts, landing pages) in collaboration with scientific and business subject-matter experts.
- Monitor organic search rankings, traffic trends, and content performance; iterate based on data.
- Work with other team members to maintain and improve the Rancho Biosciences website for conversion rate optimization (CRO), UX, and messaging clarity.
Social Media & Brand Presence
- Maintain Rancho's LinkedIn and other relevant social channels — content calendar, community engagement, and paid social campaigns.
- Monitor brand mentions, competitive activity, and industry conversations to identify real-time engagement opportunities.
- Support development of thought leadership content, including webinars, whitepapers, and conference materials.
- Ensure consistent brand voice and visual identity across all digital channels.
Analytics & Competitive Intelligence
- Build and maintain dashboards (Google Analytics, CRM, ad platforms) to track campaign performance, channel contribution to pipeline, and overall digital health.
- Conduct ongoing competitive digital analysis — benchmarking Rancho's share of voice, keyword rankings, content gaps, and social engagement against key competitors.
- Deliver regular performance reports to the Head of Marketing with clear insights and recommended optimizations.
- Run A/B tests on ads, landing pages, and email to continuously improve conversion rates.
Qualifications / Experience Requirements
Required:
- 1–3 years of experience in digital marketing, growth marketing, or demand generation in a B2B environment.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience with life sciences, biotech, and pharma organizations.
- Hands-on experience with at least two of: Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz), marketing automation (HubSpot, Marketo), or Google Analytics. HubSpot certification preferred.
- Ability to write clear, compelling copy for ads, emails, and landing pages.
- Data-driven mindset — comfortable building reports, interpreting metrics, and making optimization recommendations.
- Strong project management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Collaborative communication style with the ability to work cross-functionally with scientific and commercial teams.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with bioinformatics, genomics, or data science concepts.
- Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow) and basic HTML/CSS.
- Background in content marketing or technical writing.
- Knowledge of project management tools (Asana, Monday, etc,)
