THIS POSITION WILL BE A WORKING OPS MANAGER REQUIRED TO ALSO FABRICATE PRODUCTS, TALK TO CUSTOMERS AND RUN A SOLO OFFICE TO START OUT. YOU WOULD BE THE ONLY PERSON IN THE OFFICE/SHOP ON A REGULAR BASIS FOR THE FIRST FEW MONTHS.


Position Purpose:

To oversee and coordinate daily operational activities to ensure efficient workflows, safety compliance, inventory accuracy, and high-quality customer service. The Operations Manager is responsible for optimizing processes, supporting employee performance, and ensuring operational alignment with company objectives.

Goals of Position:

  • Ensure efficient and effective daily operations
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and operational readiness
  • Support safety, compliance, and process adherence
  • Improve operational efficiency and workflow performance
  • Support cross-department collaboration and communication

Responsibilities:

·         Oversee daily operational activities, including warehouse, shop, and logistics functions

·         Manage staffing, scheduling, and workflow to meet operational demands

·         Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and procedures

·         Monitor inventory levels, receiving, and material flow

·         Collaborate with sales, purchasing, and customer service teams to support fulfillment

·         Identify operational issues and implement process improvements

·         Train, coach, and evaluate operational staff performance

·         Address operational challenges and customer-related escalations

·         Support audits, reporting, and performance tracking

·         Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

·         Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills

·         Knowledge of inventory, logistics, or warehouse operations

·         Effective communication and collaboration skills

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational systems

·         Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Authority:

 Act Alone:

  • Direct daily operational activities and workflow
  • Assign tasks and manage operational staffing
  • Address routine operational and customer service issues

Touch Base with Supervisor:

  • Discuss staffing needs, workflow challenges, or performance concerns
  • Review operational metrics and improvement opportunities
  • Aligning operational priorities and goals

Need Approval from Supervisor:

  • Approve major process changes or capital expenditure
  • Make final hiring or termination decisions
  • Implement significant operational or policy changes

Education and Experience:

·         Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

·         5–8 years of experience in operations, warehouse, or logistics management

·         Prior leadership or management experience preferred
