About the role

We’re seeking a high-impact Senior Engineering Manager to lead execution for our Travel Experience organization. While our sister teams focus on core infrastructure and integrations, this team owns the end-to-end user journey from backend booking orchestration and AI-driven autonomous agents to the flagship mobile and web experiences.

This is a critical role focused on building the primary user-facing pillar of our rapidly growing Travel suite. You will lead a foundational team of engineers across multiple geo locations, with a clear mandate to scale the product into a seamless, autonomous global platform.

We’re looking for a technically savvy, execution-focused leader who has a deep ownership mindset over product revenue impact and system reliability.

What you will do

  • Own the Booking Experience – Lead the strategy for critical user workflows across flights, hotels, and cars, integrating advanced AI features like autonomous booking agents.
  • Drive International Expansion – Scale the Travel platform to support a massive push into European and other international markets over the next 6-12 months.
  • Partner to Complete the Suite – Collaborate closely with Product to navigate high ambiguity, integrating Travel seamlessly into our broader spend ecosystem.

What you will need

  • Proven Engineering Leadership – Solid track record managing backend or full-stack engineering teams with a background in high-scale distributed systems or financial apps.
  • Strong Technical Bar – Must be willing to get your "hands dirty" when necessary, deeply understand the architecture, and actively drive the high-level roadmap.
  • Domain Expertise – Familiarity with complex third-party integrations, corporate policy engines, or high-throughput travel orchestration systems is strongly preferred.
