Product Designer UX - £32,921
About us:
Founded in the quiet countryside of Cornwall, UK in 2007, RouteNote has spent over almost 20 years building a platform that empowers artists to easily get their music heard worldwide, proudly becoming the leading digital music distributor in all of Europe, covering over 95% of the digital music market. It is our belief that artists of all sizes, from anywhere in the world, should have the opportunity to share their music with listeners everywhere, empowering artists with the means to reach a global audience on all of the biggest platforms, on their own terms.
Our team is built upon a love for music, many of us being musicians and creatives outside of the office. We know what people want for their music and we do our best to help their dreams come true using our passion and experience. We work with the top services around the world to ensure that your music can be heard everywhere, no matter how people are listening. We are constantly working hard to provide new and exciting opportunities to help artists and labels sell their music, grow their fan bases and rocket their music careers to new heights.
About the role:
As a Product Designer at RouteNote, you'll help improve and shape the products and services used by artists, labels and creators.
This is primarily a UX focused role. We're looking for someone who enjoys understanding problems, asking questions and figuring out what's actually going on before moving into solutions.
We're a small team, so ownership matters. You'll be trusted to manage your own work, collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders, and take projects from discovery through to launch and iteration.
We care a lot about process. We're looking for someone who understands and applies user centred design through research, problem definition, ideation, prototyping, testing and iteration.
We need someone who is resourceful, comfortable working with imperfect information and able to find answers from a range of sources. That might mean reviewing support conversations, analysing data, speaking to stakeholders, exploring products or identifying other ways to build confidence in a decision.
Strong UX thinking is essential. Strong design craft matters too. We need someone who can work confidently within established brands and design systems whilst helping improve and evolve them over time.
As we continue to grow, documentation, process and shared understanding matter. We're looking for someone who wants to contribute to the foundations of the team, not just their own project work.
