Project Director (Sell, Scope, and Deliver)
About Spyder
Spyder Construction exists to consistently deliver, while ensuring the greatest thing we build is our clients and our team. We serve commercial properties, multifamily buildings, and HOA communities across insurance restoration, reconstruction, and roofing. Clients trust us because we do the technical work right and we stay with them from the first call to the final walk.
The Role
The Project Director brings in the work and makes sure it's worth doing. You develop your own clients, inspect the damage, build the estimate yourself, close the deal, and then hand the project to a Project Manager who runs day-to-day production. From there you stay the client's lead: you own the relationship, the contract, the change orders, and the margin through completion.
This is a seller-doer seat. We're looking for someone who is equally comfortable shaking hands with a property manager on Monday and defending every line of an estimate on Tuesday. If you only want to sell, or only want to build numbers, this isn't the right fit. If you've been doing both and want a platform with a strong production team behind you, keep reading.
What You Will Own
Winning the work:
Handing off and protecting the project:
What the PM owns so you don't have to: daily subcontractor management, scheduling, site logistics, and production problem-solving.
What You Bring
Must-haves:
Nice-to-haves:
The Work Itself
This is a hybrid role that splits time between the market and the desk: client meetings, inspections, and project walks in the field, and estimate and proposal work in the office. Expect regular local travel to job sites and client locations across the Colorado market.
Why Spyder
Own the Outcome means your pipeline and your projects are yours, and we don't hover once you've shown you can run them right. Deliver Consistently means your estimates hold up, because clients and our production teams build on your numbers. Forge Real Relationships means you win and keep clients through accuracy and follow-through. Stay Gritty, Keep Growing means we expect you to sharpen your process and grow your book over time.
Compensation and Benefits
PAY RANGE: $105,000 to $155,000 base salary per year, plus commission.
Spyder offers health, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid life insurance, and a 401(k) with a 4% company match to support your long-term goals. You'll also have paid time off and sick leave, optional accident and critical illness coverage, and access to an employee assistance program, along with profit sharing and performance bonus potential tied to your results.
What Happens Next
After you apply, you'll receive a short survey by email that takes just a few minutes to complete. That's the only extra step, and we'll follow up directly after that.
