This role will play a critical part in transforming data into actionable insights through advanced data modeling, visualization, and stakeholder engagement.
Position reports to: Team Lead – Business Intelligence
What You Will Do
· Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and US-based leadership to gather, interpret, and translate complex business requirements into scalable, high-impact BI solutions.
· Design and develop robust, reusable, and optimized data models using Power BI and enterprise data sources.
· Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Fabric solutions including Lakehouse, Warehouses, Data Pipelines, Notebooks, and Semantic Models, with OneLake as the unified data foundation.
· Build and deploy AI-powered analytics solutions — including predictive modeling, Copilot integration, and intelligent reporting — to help advance supplier.io's next-generation analytics offering.
· Leverage Fabric Data Science capabilities and AI/ML frameworks to deliver forward-looking insights that move the business beyond descriptive reporting.
· Design and implement Real-Time Analytics solutions using Fabric Event Streams and KQL databases where applicable.
· Lead the end-to-end BI solution lifecycle: requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, support, and continuous improvement.
· Develop and optimize Power BI reports, DAX calculations, Power Query transformations, and Fabric workloads for performance and scalability.
· Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to integrate data from Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, SQL Server, APIs, and other enterprise data sources.
· Use Figma or similar tools to design intuitive dashboard wireframes and user-friendly layouts grounded in UX/UI best practices.
· Perform advanced analytics including trend analysis, forecasting, and data-driven storytelling for executive and client audiences.
· Troubleshoot complex BI issues and deliver sustainable, well-documented solutions.
· Stay current with emerging technologies in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, AI-powered analytics, and cloud data platforms.
What You'll Need to Succeed
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
· 5–7 years of experience in Business Intelligence, with a strong focus on Power BI.
· Prior experience in a SaaS company supporting enterprise client services is strongly preferred — you understand how to build analytics that serve external customers, not just internal teams.
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills — you're comfortable presenting to and collaborating with senior business partners and client stakeholders based in the US, translating technical concepts into clear business language.
· Strong expertise in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Semantic Modeling, Data Visualization, performance tuning, Report and Dashboard Development).
· Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric including Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory Pipelines, Semantic Models, Real-Time Analytics, and OneLake — in enterprise environments.
· Demonstrated experience applying AI and ML capabilities to analytics: predictive analytics, Copilot integration, AI-driven insights, or intelligent automation within BI workflows.
· Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and ETL/ELT.
· Experience integrating Microsoft Fabric with Azure services, Snowflake, Databricks, APIs, and other enterprise data platforms.
· Advanced Power BI development: datasets, dataflows, composite models, incremental refresh, Deployment Pipelines, Shared Semantic Models.
· Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
· Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to turn ambiguous business needs into concrete, data-driven solutions.
