The Dermatology Specialists

Clinical Research Coordinator

New York City's Largest Dermatology Practice

We're a full-service dermatology practice with 50+ locations across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island. Now Delaware and Philly too!

Are you passionate about clinical research and patient care? Do you have strong communication and medical research kills but have not been able to apply them? Are you looking to become a dermatologic expert on cosmetic and medical treatments? Then this is an amazing opportunity for someone who would like to enhance their career in the healthcare industry.

We are the fastest growing Dermatology practice with 41 locations thus far, throughout 4 New York City boroughs. We are searching for a friendly, driven, hard-working researching person for our Clinical Research team.

This is a new, hybrid position that blends the rigor of clinical research coordination with the hustle of a high-performing recruiter. If you love the science of clinical trials but get equally energized by hitting enrollment targets, building rapport with prospective participants, and turning interest into commitment — this role is built for you.

You'll be the engine behind our trial pipeline: identifying eligible candidates, selling them on the value of participation, walking them through the consent and screening process, and then coordinating their journey through the study. Recruitment is the heart of this role. Trials don't run without participants, and we need someone who treats enrollment goals the way a top sales rep treats quota.

This is a full-time position. Standard hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with some flexibility based on study needs and recruitment events.

What You'll Do:

Recruitment & Enrollment (the core of this role)

  • Own enrollment targets for assigned trials and consistently hit or exceed them
  • Proactively source candidates through patient databases, in-office referrals, community outreach, digital channels, and partnerships across our 60+ locations
  • Conduct prescreening calls and convert interested leads into enrolled participants — this is a sales conversation as much as a clinical one
  • Build and maintain a recruitment pipeline, tracking conversion at every stage from inquiry to randomization
  • Develop compelling, compliant messaging that helps candidates understand the value of participation
  • Partner with marketing on recruitment campaigns, flyers, and digital ads
  • Follow up persistently and professionally with warm leads — no candidate should fall through the cracks
  • Represent the practice at community events, health fairs, and recruitment activations

  • Prior experience in clinical trials as a Research Coordinator, Research Assistant, or similar role
  • A genuine sales orientation — you're motivated by goals, comfortable with outreach, and skilled at moving people from "interested" to "enrolled"
  • Strong phone presence and the ability to have warm, persuasive conversations with strangers
  • Knowledge of phlebotomy
  • Experience with EDC entry, medical intake, and informed consent procedures
  • Familiarity with IRB submissions and clinical research regulations (GCP, ICH)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask across fast-paced environments
  • A team player who's also self-directed and accountable for individual numbers
  • Evening and weekend availability is a plus
  • Bilingual candidates (Spanish, Mandarin, Russian, or others) strongly encouraged to apply

Bonus Points

  • Prior experience in patient recruitment, healthcare sales, medical device sales, or pharma sales
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) or recruitment tracking platforms
  • Background in dermatology or cosmetic clinical research
  • Comfort with social media outreach and digital recruitment strategies
