The firm’s practice includes Corporate/Partnership, Real Estate, Contracts/Business Law, Personal Injury, Civil Litigation/Trials, Representation and Participation in Mediation and Arbitration Matters, Insurance Defense and Estate Planning.  The Paralegal I will support our DTLA team in Warranty and Lemon Law defense for our corporate clients.

Job Summary:

Turner Henningsen Wolf & VanDenburg, LLP is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal I to provide vital support to our legal team in the Downtown Los Angeles Office. This entry-level position is designed for candidates new to the legal profession, offering an excellent opportunity to grow within a collaborative and dynamic environment.  The successful candidate will assist in case management, document preparation, and legal research under the supervision of senior attorneys.

Key Responsibilities:

• Legal Document Drafting and Preparation: Assist in drafting legal documents, including correspondence and pleadings, ensuring compliance with court requirements.
• Case Management and Organization: Organize and maintain electronic case files and assist in scheduling and tracking deadlines.
• Case Record Collection:  Conduct regular case records collection by communicating with dealerships nationwide, preparing subpoenas for filing and service when necessary
• Research and Legal Support: Conduct basic legal research using online databases and assist in compiling case summaries and evidence.

Qualifications:

• College degree or completion of a paralegal certificate program or equivalent education.
• Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and document preparation; understanding of legal procedures is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, legal research tools, and case management software.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Paralegal Certificate (or similar) preferred.

Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic understanding of legal research databases.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Pay Range:  $33.65/hour+,  non-exempt

Compensation offered will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, skills and qualifications.
