The Program Specialist provides clinical, implementation, and operational support for VB Spine technologies within a designated territory. This role partners directly with surgeons and clinical teams to integrate technology into clinical workflows, guide users through the clinical pathway, and support successful implementation and ongoing utilization.

Through strong clinical relationships, education, and dependable case support, the Program Specialist helps increase technology adoption, strengthen customer programs, and optimize customer outcomes. This field-based position also coordinates training, scheduling, inventory, surgical instruments, and other operational needs to ensure each account receives efficient and effective support.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Represent VB Spine and provide professional, efficient, and effective support during spine surgical cases.
  • Support the implementation, onboarding, and clinical utilization of VB Spine technologies.
  • Assist surgeons and clinical teams with workflow integration, education, and ongoing program support.
  • Coordinate program activities within assigned accounts, including case coverage, customer training, scheduling, inventory management, and instrument logistics.
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of VB Spine products, technologies, procedures, and relevant industry trends.
  • Educate customers and internal partners on VB Spine technologies, surgical instruments, implants, procedures, and clinical applications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, healthcare professionals, clinical teams, and other key account stakeholders.
  • Partner with Sales Representatives, Sales Management, Medical Education, Marketing, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to support customer success and achieve program objectives.
  • Communicate customer needs, account activity, program updates, and field feedback to appropriate internal teams.
  • Coordinate and maintain inventory, surgical trays, instruments, and other program-related materials within the assigned territory.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating case coverage, customer training, and other account-support needs.
  • Support the planning and execution of local, regional, and national medical education events.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, trade shows, and other company-sponsored events as directed.
  • Complete all required reports, documentation, and administrative responsibilities accurately and within established timelines.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


What You Bring: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.
  • Surgical Technologist certification or nursing degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of spinal anatomy and anatomical landmarks necessary to support surgeons and healthcare professionals in the use of VB Spine products.
  • Clinical or operating room experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting medical device, healthcare, clinical education, sales, or customer programs preferred.
  • Ability to understand and clearly communicate technical information related to surgical instruments, implants, procedures, and products.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple cases, accounts, priorities, and program activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and maintain effective working relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a cross-functional team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond appropriately in fast-paced clinical environments.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce and contribute as a dependable team member.

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 50% and support accounts throughout the assigned territory as directed by Sales Management.
  • Ability to lift and carry multiple surgical trays weighing a minimum of 24 pounds each.
  • Availability to respond to customer emergencies on a 24-hour-per-day basis when required.
  • Ability to safely handle instruments that may have been exposed to blood or other bodily fluids while following all applicable safety protocols and OSHA requirements.
  • Ability to regularly communicate verbally and hear in clinical and professional environments.
  • Visual abilities must include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, changing schedules, and time-sensitive customer needs.
  • Ability to remain composed, organized, and responsive in fast-paced surgical environments.
  • Strong judgment, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to bring responsibilities through completion with minimal supervision.

Compensation: 
Pay for this role is competitive and based on experience, with additional factors like territory requirements, qualifications, and performance taken into account. The typical pay range for this position is $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 with eligibility to earn commission and/or bonuses + benefits.

VB Spine reserves the right to offer compensation outside of this listed range. Final compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis and considers a variety of factors including experience level, skillset, and market conditions.
