About the Opportunity
We're looking for a C# / .NET Software Developer who will be responsible for serving as a mid-level developer, programming reliable and readable C# code to enhance our Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) product. The core area of focus for this particular developer will be developing and maintaining integrations between our APS and leading ERP, SCM, MES, and other digital platforms. Additionally, this role own the following tasks and duties:
· Working alongside our team of global developers to improve core web application features.
· Gaining knowledge and understanding of core product functionality to quickly fix bugs and performance issues in core software areas.
· Gathering requirements and developing application extensions based on client or partner needs.
· Owning smaller scope applications and continually improving and, with the help of our writing resources, documenting those improvements.
· Assisting the Services team in solving customer issues by providing technical knowledge of the software in ways that anyone can understand.
· Providing in-depth software testing using custom-developed testing tools.
The ideal candidate is an autonomous, go-getter, who relishes the opportunity to be involved in many different projects and initiatives at the same time. Performing all tasks and status updates with an acute sense urgency at all times is second nature to person best fitting this role.
This position reports into and works closely with PlanetTogether's Head of the Software Development Department. In general, we're looking for team members whose equilibrium is juggling multiple projects and priorities. Strong candidates will possess an innate ability to set the standard and strive for excellence every minute of the day. To succeed at PlanetTogether, candidates should be incredible critical thinkers, relentless problem solvers, and positive people.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or other relevant field.
· 3+ years of experience in a similar software development role.
· 3+ years of experience creating (coding), enhancing, and troubleshooting APIs between diverse systems.
· 3+ years of experience in developing integrations for SAP S4/HANA, Microsoft Dynamics, or Oracle.
· Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with PlanetTogether APS, Siemens Opcenter / Preactor, Dassault ORTEMS / DelmiaWORKS, or other advanced planning and scheduling platforms.
· Native-level fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking) and comfortable speaking with colleagues, partners, and clients across all mediums.
· Conversational skills in Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese, French (France), or German a major plus.
