We are seeking a Surgery Scheduler to join our dynamic team. In this crucial role, you will be the key link between patients, providers, and surgical teams, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience for all.


What you'll do

As a Surgery Scheduler, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and scheduling preoperative and surgical appointments with precision.
  • Organizing and following up on lab tests, imaging, and other essential documentation.
  • Communicating compassionately with patients and families via phone and email.
  • Keeping meticulous records and managing surgeon schedules, including clinical research activities.
  • Collaborating with physicians, hospital staff, and vendors to finalize and optimize surgery schedules.
  • Ensuring patient charts are complete and prepared in compliance with all protocols.

Qualifications 

  • Experience: Prior surgery scheduling or medical office experience is a big plus!
  • Attention to Detail: You thrive in fast-paced environments and have a knack for staying organized.
  • Communication Skills: You’re a pro at keeping everyone informed and feel comfortable interacting with patients and medical professionals.
  • Tech-Savviness: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with electronic scheduling tools.
  • Privacy Matters: A strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and a commitment to patient confidentiality.

The pay range for this role is:

19 - 21 USD per hour (Plano Orthopedic & Sports Medicine center)
