Property Maintenance Specialist — Flexible Hours

Platinum Resort Assisted Living and Memory Care operates high-end assisted living facilities in Georgetown, Texas. Families trust us with their loved ones, and the condition, cleanliness, and appearance of our homes reflects everything about our standard of care.

We're looking for a hands-on, reliable Maintenance Specialist to help care for three of our luxury properties: two buildings on a shared 8-acre campus and one building on a 1-acre lot — 9 acres of grounds and 3 buildings in total.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position, paying $25–$30/hr, with flexible scheduling from part-time up to full-time hours. Whether you're looking to supplement other work, build a flexible full-time schedule around your life, or simply want steady, well-paid hands-on work, this role can flex to fit — as long as the work gets done and rooms turn over on time.

Day to day, the work includes turning over rooms within 2 days of a resident moving out, occasional drywall repairs, appliance repairs, and preventative maintenance to keep our buildings running smoothly. You'll coordinate with our Operations Managers on priorities, while managing your own schedule and workflow across the three properties.

This is real, physical, hands-on work. We need someone who shows up, takes pride in their work, and notices issues before they become problems.

Key Responsibilities — General Maintenance

• Handle basic repairs (drywall, paint touch-ups, fixtures, doors, etc.)
• Perform light plumbing and electrical fixes (non-licensed scope)
• Conduct preventative maintenance checks across all properties
• Assist with minor equipment and appliance issues
• Turn over rooms within a 2-day window when a resident moves out — patch holes, touch up paint, and get rooms fresh and ready for the next occupant

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience in handyman/maintenance work
• Self-starter — you don't wait to be told what to do
• Detail-oriented — you notice the small things
• Dependable and consistent — when you commit to a job, you follow through
• Comfortable working outdoors in Texas heat, on your feet, lifting and operating equipment
• Comfortable moving between three properties
• Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and general repair work
• Respectful, patient, and friendly demeanor — you'll be around senior residents daily
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must pass a pre-employment background check
• Comfortable working as an independent contractor (1099), managing your own tools/schedule as applicable
